The problem is not server-based.

I surely did not.
And i've uninstalled, and reinstalled FTB. The problem, apparently, is that I'm having ID mismatches, with forestry. >.>

and I've deleted and reinstalled forestry-nothing helps.

@Hiraki (and others) the modded server is a *decent* example of why i was pro-map reset.

sure about 66% of the activity on it can be attributed to ZOMG MODS COOL NEW STUFF AWESOMENESS but I'd say about 33% of the activity (of which since i turned it to FTB I have never once logged on and not seen at least 1 usually 3 people online) is due to the fact that the game is a new map and a new challenge because you're starting from scratch. at least for me it is, i havent even begun to touch most of the mods

It's a new shiny toy, like the last modded server was, but after a few weeks we'll all get bored and return to the regular server. All the excitement is due to the new content, not because there's a new map.

I disagree, FTB has a lot more content than the kinds of mods we've messed around with before. And I'm pretty excited about being able to have a completely new start where everyone else is on a similar level.

i was stating that some of the excitement is from my point, and that it would cause excitement on its own, just not as much.

You said that over half of your enjoyment from the new server came because of new things.

My computer is going nutty mccraycray when I try to play FTB. Like I timed out the first time, then I restarted it and got on, but no wood blocks appeared after I punched a tree, so I logged out logged in, and they were in my inventory, but after I built a workbench and placed it, I couldn't use it. I dunno, maybe my computer isn't good enough.

I was able to play around a little in a ssp world, spawned next to a ravine.

I think my problem on the server was that it resets your video settings; I might get back on later to see if it's any better.
