In post 4521, Nero Cain wrote:I'm thinkin about voting Jason though. With four town and 2 scum then we go back into lylo with a confirmed town and one less suspect.

Ya, Jason claimed that he revives if lynched and that he can only die if NK'd. So there was some point where I said we should test his claim since we are in evens and its free to do so. And I voted him and Jason self voted. In a situation that could have been Mylo. And then after he got votes from me/mastin (iirc?) he apparently confirmed his role with Pappum's and said that he is essentially dead for all vote count purposes if lynched. So he put himself in a situation that could lose the game for his team (if town) and THEN asked Pappum to confirm his role?

Why not? You don't think its a good idea to whittle down the suspect list?
Of all tyrannies,a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

I dunno, I just dont want to die. I've only been in a similar situation once and admittedly the NK after the NL DID lead me to Thor, but eh.

On paper it makes sense. But considering someone who is unlikely to be lynched will likely die, it matters less than random chance.

Well its either today we lynch someone and if its a mislynch we loose or go into tomorrow with 1 less suspect.

Like to be fair the least likely person to get lynched atm is probably pidgey. Objectively, he has the least amount of suspicion on him.

If pidgey makes it to the next phase my eyebrows might be raised slightly, but if we NL either pidgey or me is probably getting NK'd. Acosmist obviously isnt. No way mykonian gets killed.

I mean, what would the NK tell you - who do you expect to be NK'd? You?

I mean in an ideal world, someone scummy gets killed. Like if we NL and mykonian or you or jason gets killed, that would make it easier to sift through shit.

But, from my perspective, I fully expect me/pidgey to get killed and it to be roughly the same situation as Today except it only takes one misvote for a loss.

Seriously, who do you expect to be NK'd. If you, why do you support a NL?

Votecount 8.4

"He really is out there, isn't he? We've got to be able to defend ourselves. And if Umbridge refuses to teach us how, we need someone who will." -Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

mykonian - 1 (Acosmist)
Acosmist - 1 (jasonT1981)
no lynch - 1 (Nero Cain)

Not voting - pidgey, AngryPidgeon, mykonian

With 6 alive it takes 4 to lynch.

The deadline for Day 8 is 11 PM EST on January 20, 2013.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

EVERYONE
is scummy. The whole point of a no lynch is to give the town an extra day with a whittled down suspect list. In the back of my mind Jason and Pidgey are scum 'cause the are the one's contributing the least and this Nero/Ap/Myko is just town on town violence.

In I pegged Jason as scum for misrepping Stef B. So that's why I kinda gave him a meta town pass in the early game. Was his vote on Acomist a honest mistake or was it scum trying to act derpy? idk, not sure yet.

Well my point is that Acosmist doesnt see an issue with NL. But if he thinks Jason is town (apparently he does), and Jason seems deadset on voting him, then shouldn't he be afraid of a game loss if someone that isn't Jason gets NK'd and Jason doesnt change his mind?

I mean seriously, how can Acosmist be ok with thinking JAson is town and not seeing a personal problem with no lynching right now?

Assuming hes town.

LOOOOOL. Ok Acosmist. So Jason has every intention of voting you. We NL. Someone dies. Jason revotes you.

GG, right? Or is one of you not town?

Seriously, you asked why there is any issue with NL. If you think Jason and you are town then you definitely SHOULD see the issue. Am I missing something here?

I think YOU are deserving of the Yates treatment.

jason could be town

I don't think jason wants to intentionally, knowingly make scum win as town. He seems to like the forum, for one.
