Scum posting - trying to cast doubt on the possibility without taking a stance.

If you think it's unlikely, say why.

So ummm, do you believe Dan's claim?

I believe that he's a neighborizer, but I don't think that it's relevant to his alignment.

Now, do you think that it's unlikely that both roles are in the game?

While I know this wasn't aimed towards me... I have, in the past used 2 neighbor type roles in a game as a mod... 1 was town and 1 was scum.. so it is entirely possible one is town and one is scum.

I don't believe 2 town type neighbor roles though are in this game.

American revolution had a town masonizer and a town neighborizer one shot.

But leprechaun mafia had a friendly neighbor and a scum neighborizer one shot.

Both are likely here.

Two trackers, a beloved princess, and a 1 shot double doctor other than neighbors. Scum team had two goons, a tracker and a double voter.

I don't know how that stacks up, I'm not that great at balance.

I can't tell what this is supposed to mean. If you had a compelling reason, you'd be on one of our wagons today. Okay, but isn't that always true of basically any player?

Then there's the fact that you said before that you're more inclined to believe ActionDan. How you can think that it makes any sense to lynch someone with a confirmable town role on day one is completely beyond me.

Actually the way Dan claimed, thinking he was counterclaiming, seems more townish. And I believe the 3-shot neighborizer bit, just still holding onto some of my suspicions of the previous slot and his replacement in posts I guess.

Shadoweh - Since you're good at reading Dan, what do you think of how he handled the claim today?

You mean "confirmable" and I emphasize the quotation part in the scenario that you're lying scum and claim to have targeted a buddy who backs up your claim.

Just because you claimed a "confirmable" role doesn't mean I have to be inclined to believe it.

I disagree that the way Dan claimed was necessarily townish, as he could easily have known that the roles were completely different going into the claim and thus known that it wouldn't come down to a 1v1. However, I am thinking of going with TGAH over Dan today.

Also, scum have daytalk. I can guarantee it.

I think there may have been something else I wanted to comment on that I've forgotten. I'll go back and see.

Yeah, this seems correct to me (not sure I've convinced Zar though). The rest of Dan's behaviour isn't very townish, though? Meh. (Though I don't really think much of the supposed "scumslip".)

The worries about Zdenek just getting a (hypothetical) scumbuddy to confirm him are overblown. As long as he targets somebody most people have as a town-read, we're probably fine (because if he's scum, eventually we catch on to the fact they're lying, and then we've caught at least one scum we probably wouldn't have caught otherwise). Might be different if Zdenek had claimed 1-shot, but since he didn't ...

Similarly the discussion about both roles existing in the same game are a waste of time. They're not at all similar roles. And even if they were, that probably wouldn't stop Faraday from giving both to town anyway. He likes doing that sort of thing (I mentioned the ADWD game already; via IM, Zar reminded me of the Wheel of Time game on Westeros last year as well, I'm sure there are lots of other examples too and I might check his wiki page for some later). Either of them might be lying, but the two claims aren't really inter-connected in any way.

We should still be lynching TGAH.

As far as Z's claim, I think I've talked myself into just believing it. It seems a really unwise role to fake claim anyway because at most it will buy him a couple days. So, I'm not worrying about it right now; it will sort itself out in the coming days.

Still think that Dan's reaction read townish; I'll wait to see Shadoweh's take on it too.

I know that Empire's strongest scum read is on Jason, and he's going to look through some of his meta tomorrow. I did look through the Dresden game linked and his play is rather different from here. We both have a town read on Sottyrulez, Empire just thinks they're completely wrong about Jason. I'm not really sure what to think right now, but I just can't get to Jason!town. Yes, I know he's probably not an option today.

One thing we definitely don't like about TGAH is rofl's absence, but think that Konowa's posting has been all right and more like his town self. Empire has a stronger townish feel there than I do but I've mentioned that before. I'd really like to know why TGAH hasn't given a read on deasvail though. In the game we all just finished playing, rofl read dv correctly as scum really early and Konowa was the main reason why we lynched dv at the end. He also said that he felt like he had a grasp of dv's meta now. So why haven't they given a read on him here? If you have a good grasp of someone's meta, and you just correctly read them, isn't that the type of person you give a read for? And I've never known rofl not to be open about a scum or town read when he has them.

And on that note, we're somewhat concerned about dv, and he's someone we want to keep an eye on.

Also don't like Absta.

We need to figure out where to move our vote now that our second and third scum reads have claimed and aren't getting lynched.
