Here's what I was thinking
Extremely early rough draft, thoughts? Obvious inclusions? (Couldn't find a way to fit Rancor's in atm, except by cutting Arbor Elves?)Fate is absurdly beautiful. 運命に弄ばれる

3 more people should sign up for the RYOS tournament.
That'd be fun.

Out of curiosity, who would be interested in watching such a thing?

For draft, I assume? I'd probably watch a GTC draft. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.-

I'm entertaining the idea of putting together a gimmicky Standard deck and bringing it to a FNM sometime soon.
How bad did I do?
Planeswalkers (4)
4x Vraska the Unseen
Creatures (10)
3x Bloodline Keeper
3x Thraben Doomsayer
4x Attended Knigh
Spells (22)
4x Growing Ranks
4x Lingering Souls
2x Gather the Townsfolk
2x Midnight Haunting
2x Parallel Lives
4x Rootborn Defenses
4x Druid's Deliverance
Land (24)
3x Golgari Guildgate
3x Orzhov Guildgate
1x Evolving Wilds
1x Gavony Township
3x Swamp
5x Forest
8x Plains
Basic concept of the deck is to produce tokens, populate and the ideal win con is through the Vraska ultimate.Ski mask? Check! Sawed off? Check! Guilty conscience, fear of death? Check! Check! Check!

Very. Four Vraska is miserable, as planeswalkers are obviously terrible in multiples, and Vraska isn't good enough to justify drawing her dead a large amount of time.
Second, if you're running a token deck, why would you not run the anthem? I forget what its called, but 2/2 tokens seems better than 1/1 tokens.
Third, I think your mana is awful, but thats probably just a function of not having shocks. If thats the case, make one of the three colors a splash and cut the gates and pick up a few of the buddy lands. The W/G is like 2$
Fourth, no pack rat? you misplayed.
Lastly, I don't think you need that much of the druids deliverance/rootborn/growing ranks effect. I think I would play like 3 rootborn 3 deliverance 2 growing ranks, which gives you room for removal like fiend hunter or oblivion ring.tout comprendre c'est tout pardonner-

Being that idea I focused this deck around was Vraska's ultimate (possibly a poor choice, I am willing to admit), what would be an appropriate amount here?

I have no idea what this card is to be entirely honest. I know I wanted Lingering Souls as a 4of because of the flashback effect. If this puts out 2/2 tokens, I'd probably replace the Gathers/Hauntings with a 4of for this?

I'll have to go for this. Figuring out how to tweak the mana is probably more difficult for me than it should be.

Big gaffe on my part.

He means Intangible Virtue, which gives +1/+1 and Vigilance to all creature tokens.
And Vraska is pretty bad. Her middle ability is good, but her +1 is mediocre, and her ultimate doesn't win the game.
Since you're in G/W, Trostani may be a good call. Colors may be too demanding. Call of the Conclave should be really nice for a token based deck, though.
Maybe it's just me, but I'd be really tempted to run Seance or even Cackling Counterpart. Probably not good tech, though. One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. no....
i just got baited into blocking a 3/5 Faithmender with a 4/4 because I had Wild Defiance out and didn't think he'd be able to kill me or pump his guy
Flashed a staticaster and took my 4/4 out, who would've been a 8/4 with mountain walk the next turn and I could've out raced his herpderp mender....Fate is absurdly beautiful. 運命に弄ばれる

One of the things thats very important to playing magic well is the question "why is my opponent doing this?" which leads you to think about what cards might be in his hand and which of them you can successfully play around. In this case, depending on the deck, and the game situation, there is not a lot of reason for your opponent to attack (unless the life gain was super relevant) except to bait you into blocking, and there are tons of things that absolutely blow you out for doing so. If you had thought through this line of play it leads you to thinking about what bloodrush he could have, what burn he could have, izzet staticaster, etc, which would make me personally think that single blocking is probably not an option here. Taking it and double or triple blocking were probably your best options.tout comprendre c'est tout pardonner-

Isn't that just a question of experience with the format? Especially just after a new set enters standard people have to get used to all the cards and that happens just by playing matches and stuff. There's really only a limited number of archetypes running a limited number of different cards - most stuff doesn't make it because it simply isn't good enough, so the pool of cards you have to learn is much smaller than it looks like on the surface. Even between archetypes a lot of cards are shared.
If the cards that are getting you are unusual cards then dont feel too bad - it's much harder to play around an unusual card than a usual card. It's like in limited, you're probably going to fall for that furious resistance or that tower defence more often than you're going to walk into that martial glory or slaughterhorn because slaughterhorns and martial glories, being more powerful cards, are the ones you're more likely to expect your opponents to play.(10:50:24 PM) xcaykex: GODDAMNIT I DONT WANNA GET RID OF MY TENTACLE RAPE PORN

Yeah. I think shanbas point is well taken. This is the kind of thing that just comes with experience.
At the pre-release I got blown out by several cards that I would definitely be playing around if I had played the format a couple of times. Aetherize is an example. However, I also got blown out by a hydroform, which I would still get blown out by right now simply because I think the card is actively bad and I wouldn't be expecting an opponent to have it.tout comprendre c'est tout pardonner-

Sometimes, you also have to realize that you can't play around everything. If an opponent is holding up Azorius Charm to bounce a guy, he's going to 'get' you with it eventually. The trick is to provoke it when it's of least harm to you- so you have to consider how much it's costing you to play around it against how much it's coating him to hold it up, and how bad it is for you when he does play it out. Matches against control tend to be full of that kind of math. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.
