We considered this at the UK meet before more or less unanimously agreeing that the idea would be better than the execution. I think I'd like to be able to switch off from games, though I wouldn't mind trying something if there was a way to make it work over a 24-hour period or one overnight game or whatever. Just not something for the whole meet.

I understand and agree with most of the objections, and definitely wouldn't enjoy playing in one myself. But if enough

masochistic

people are interested, I don't mind running one for their sake.

An option is to use something like six-hour day phases (and calling off the timer during nights or times we're going out) and no nights, but that feels a bit pointless when people will probably already be playing face to face Mafia that day (also, it might be hard for the Mafia to sneak off and plan with shorter deadlines).

Real life power roles are a fun idea, though.

Eh, the drama was mostly during the first bit. By the end of it, watching the final four sit in groups and discuss for hours was pretty enthralling. I think the biggest issue was that we tried to mix alcohol and the game, which led to some flaired tempers.

Oh in case it's not clear the meet is going until the 5th, not through to the 6th. Oliver has to leave on the 5th and I'm ok with staying of course through the rest of the day while people wait for flights/boats out of Bmore but I'd like it if there was noone staying over that night. I gotta be in Chicago on the 8th so I'd like a little bit of leeway in case something goes terribly wrong

Oh, by the way, since you mentioned bedding before, I can definitely bring enough for myself as long as DGB has room in the trunk. I can bring a pillow and blanket and buy a sleeping bag or air mattress from somewhere.

Updated. I deleted Reck and Grimm from days they're not gonna be there

There is now a waitlist for some days. It would be very nice if people could decide ASAP if they're coming if they're not certain so that people can plan based off of that. I'd hate for someone on the waitlist to not come and then there ends up being a spot.
