@Oversoul-
Your 1204 + 1704 with Smash's 1200 and Bacde's 1722 start my tic up.
What's the point of 1704 to this game?
In post 1200, Smashbard wrote:Why don't you want to be investigated Oversoul? Afraid of what might come up?

Although I highly doubt there is a cop. In Normal set ups Masons are generally considered alternatives or replacements to an investigative role.
In post 1204, Oversoul wrote:No. I'm not afraid of being investigated because they will all return a normal result.

Cop me, track me, gun smith me, role cop me, hell even shoot me. They all will come back of a regular ole townie.
In post 1704, Oversoul wrote:And just in case no one asks this in the future might as well do it now

Mod, if a Gunsmith investigates a Godfather, what result will the gunsmith receive?

Setup spec:

Town Bodyguard
Town Mason
Town Mason
Town JK
Town Vig
Town Gunsmith
7 VT
13 Town

2 Goons
Mafia Rolecop
+Mafia
+Mafia?
5 Mafia

OK, Maybe 2 mafia left with a town that is 50% PR, weak as they may be.

I think two more mafia is actually kind of likely at this point, because we seem far too strong right now for the mafia roles which have flipped.

The reasons why I think there would likely be a doctor is at the moment, the only difference between a cop and gunsmith would be wind-up, and in a game of this size which also includes Masons seems really powerful. The other reason is that MrZepher seemed convinced that there was a vig in the setup for no apparent reason. His team having a doctor would be a definite reason for that. The other person pushing the idea of a vig D1 was Go, which is definitely hurting my read on him, since this was his first game with that account, so I can't see if that's normal for him.

In post 448, MrZepher wrote:Out of curiosity what are the odds that there's both a vig and a PGO in this game?
Thinking about Wind-up's claim made me start hypothesizing. It might be too early for that so stop me if I'm getting ahead of myself here.
In post 460, MrZepher wrote:I'm starting to hope you get vig'd instead of me.
I looked at this a while ago, and I may have played up how much he did this since then. It is there, but on second look it might not be as important as I thought it was.

Those are posts of other players, with known alignments colored.

C'mon rofl- how many scum left?

Remember that time you were town and your posts looked like this:
Subject: NY 159: RUST game over
roflcopter wrote:there's too many unknown factors to try to clear people solely based on speculating about game balance. 3/7 dead players are scum. from that alone the game looks almost town sided. all these one shot abilities made the first 2-3 nights in this game very town sided. thats got something to do with why this game has seen scum lynches two out of the first three days (and the other a miller lynch, which players like drmyshotgun would argue are as good as a scum lynch) but now that they're most/all used and the two full use roles are dead (both faction's doctors) its become basically mountainous.

although looking at the symmetry of the setup if cheery is telling the truth is pushing me off of him.
town:
doctor
2 x 1-shot roles (vig*, gunsmith*)
2 x 2-shot joats (vig/cop*, bp/rb)
2 x millers?**
nilla wafers

scum:
doctor**
2-shot joat (claimed track/jk)(*,**) - see note
1-shot something? goon?(*,**)
goon(*.**)

* - this role has a gun AKA gunsmith guilty
** - cop guilty

note: we can't necessarily believe ckd's claim since he's scum and it doesn't flip what a joat is made of, but track approximates rolecop and jailkeep certainly approximates roleblock, two abilities i expect to see at least one of on a four man scumteam in a game this size

so that was basically stream of consciousness but yeah i think i've convinced myself cheery has to be town
ap is confirmed town by virtue of having a claimed inno on him at this point (realistically there's no way he's a mafia doctor), either cd is town in which case ap is inno or cd is scum in which case all other players (including ap) are innocent

unvote, vote: darthe

Alright, that confirms it for me then.

We lynch Oversoul today, Peregrine is looking really really freaking town. The fact that KingdomAces collaborates with Peregrine about those early Go interactions and the suspiciousness of Oversoul makes him the most viable lynch choice.

If Oversoul flips scum and we HAVEN'T won the game, then Rofl is most definitely his partner.

If he flips town, then at this point I think without a shadow of a doubt that would prove that Rofl is town, at least in my eyes.

I made a post, but I have to ask Matt about something and whether or not it is allowable by site rules/his rules.

I will say that Jacob is just letting the masons do the heavy lifting while they mislynch a townie and he can buy himself another day.

I mean from what I gathered you case is: Jacob hard bussed Zepher and then soft bussed peta and HD.

Which is pretty laughable to be honest.

My Zepher read was based almost wholly on ISOing Trollie when the day opened.

jacob was also a non-presence the whole game until he was suddenly being super helpful "organizing" the massclaim and volunteering to claim first

i'm guessing he tends to contribute more at endgame when he's the last scum alive, and his "contribution" has been 1) doing clerical work that literally anyone can do regardless of alignment and 2) volunteering to claim first

Thanks I made it to scare the the crows off.

Also I am not refuting any of those points so yeah....

I mean I might have done more but those things but I can't be bothered to check.

I'm wondering because his non-contributory stance on this game can't be taken as scummy if this style of play is his MO

but does he tend to at least try as town? Because if he does that would indicate that in this game he may be scum
