Enjoyed that very, very much. Love Nicolaj Coster-Waldau. And Cersei's double-take...

Lena wasn't given much to do this episode, but I liked her "please don't make me do it again" with Tywin. Poor Cersei. :(

Spoke to some people at work and they felt that Jaime is starting to be redeemed, or at least understood, so that's excellent.

I agree with the Loras comment that was made, but I don't like Loras that much so I don't care.

Arya is all alone now that Gendry has left her and all her scenes were heartbreaking.

Yay! Grey Worm!

Yay! Ygritte and the Lord's Kiss

And finally a good scene with Robb! I'll admit I've felt that many have been week. His scene with Edmund was good last week, but this week with Rickard was good and strong.

And Yay Yay! Littlefinger finally playing games the right way.

Yeah, Littlefinger's scenes were Fridge Brilliance to me.
To stop Sansa from hooking up with Loras, he made Tywin aware of the plot, hoping to have him put her into a less desirable situation so that she would decide to leave with him.
I don't know whether Littlefinger is directly implicated in this particular plot in the books, but I liked how it was implied to have worked out here, and they even did it in a way that had him use his TV-version resources.

In regards to your question, Iec:
He was, in the books it was noted in surprise that it was Littlefinger not Varys that came to them with this plot

Episode 5 was one of the best episodes of season 3.

Nikolaj is doing a really good job with Jamie Lannister.

Also, I ran into some epic spoilers. This season could be the best so far if what happens, happens now.

Presuming this season ends with the weddings or maybe Stannis at the wall, I don't see how next season could be better unless they draw considerably from Feast/Dragons. The only other stuff I can think of are the circumstances with Oberyn.

Sorry, thought this was the book thread.

I think it will end with red wedding, that would be a crazy cliffhanger.

I don't think they can drag out Robb's plot for that long. I think it might be coming sooner.

I know you are using spoiler tags, but do you really need to have that discussion in this thread? You are not adding anything that show-only people can look at without spoilers, and the book readers would know what you are talking about and quite likely want to discuss it.

Spoiler: The episode covers the following chapters of A Storm of Swords:
Arya VI, a brief part of Jon II, Jon III, Arya VII, Catelyn III, Jaime IV, Jaime V, and the end of Tyrion III.

(Source)

EDIT: Obviously, the source link of the above info is full of book spoilers, so read on at your own risk.

I think she has a tatoo on her breast that was pixelled out, as there seemed to be a blurry spot in that shot.

Love the show, and read the first 3 books years ago, so I get to enjoy it all over again.

If each season is one book, and GRRM is only just finished book 5, and the show is on book 3, then George needs to get his ass in high gear and finish the last 2-4 books if he wants to keep rolling in the money.

Finally.

Get to writing, dude!!

A Game of Thrones (1996)
A Clash of Kings (1998)
A Storm of Swords (2000)
A Feast for Crows (2005)
A Dance with Dragons (2011)
The Winds of Winter (TBA)
A Dream of Spring (TBA)

Found this, but oh well.

Season Ordered Filming Premiere Novel adapted
