Here we go:
Today three things happened: The meet ended, I moved out, I said goodbye to matt for a good part of the summer. I am sitting backstage at work (which i was late too because the 3.5 hr drive home took 7 hrs) and thinking about all the things I am feeling right now, which are mostly sad but with silver linings. The meet is over, but I have grown closer to people I really love because of it.
This week was fucking awesome. All of you who came were aabsolutely amazing people, and a pleasure to have over for the Balto meet. There are not many people who I could stand living with for 10 days, on a very small amount of sleep, and each of you is clearly one of them (no wonder why the commune has formed).

- It was great to meet someone who has put so much of their blood, sweat, and tears into making this site what it is. Thank you for what you do/did for this site, and for spending time with us this week.
Ether
- Thank you for coming to the meet and putting up with all of us even in the wee hours of the night as you were trying to sleep. Really happy you were so adamant about going to Karaoke--that ended up being a highlight of the meet for me.
Iecerint
- I always saw u on the forum and knew Matt and you had talked a lot prior to this meet, but I never really had a chance to interact with you on-site as much as he did. I am so glad I got the chance to meet you, and put a face and voice to your online persona. It was also pretty cool watching you go from drunk obvscum the 1st game of the meet to total mindfuck "i thought u were obvtown" scum during the UPick.
BB
- So you're not an immature derp-ball. That was great to know because your avatar reminded me of a carnival and legos, so I assumed you'd be a pretty good sized derp-ball. Matt and I enjoyed having
someone
around who understood our sense of humor. I could only take CES's judgmental glares for so long before I needed someone to get my jokes. It was great bonding with you over this week and I very much hope to see you again shortly, and stay in touch on the forum of course.
CES
- It's been nice cross-voting with ya. Thanks for putting up with my purposely obtuse understanding of European Culture. I do regret not telling you about the museum that is a 5 minute walk from the apartment, but I guess that's for next time.
CDB
- Thank god for the greater idea deck (which maybe now is the greatest?). I expect to see you on Skype in the near future, where the fun of this meet and this deck can continue. No townie can ever fear the night kill with the sound of your soothing english voice in their head during night phase. Lastly, thanks for making that UPick so enjoyable.
Patrick
- I had no fucking clue who you were pre-meet (u old-timer u), but I am so glad that I got to meet you. Though I still can't read you for shit, playing mafia with you has been rather enjoyable. The Tentacled Townie is definitely the greatest role in that deck, which I hear is something to thank you for. Hope to see you sometime soon, whether in the states or across the pond.
AP
- The one person I thought I knew before the meet because I've seen you on face with a name--but no--I still had no concept of who you were pre-meet. I ended up liking you even more than I expected, and
holy shit
are you tall. Oh, and of course, thanks for being my bus buddy during the UPick, where would DGB's meet dick be without DGB? which brings me to…
DGB
- THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. You are (a) awesome, (b) funny, (c) a great cook, and (d) an all-around good person. From the heroine injections, to driving around with you in the rain trying to find egg roll covers (which we never found), it was such a pleasure meeting you.
Minineko
- I had hardly ever seen you on the site before the meet. I hope to see you around here now though, because it was a pleasure to meet you. You were a constant source of humor in Mafia games, especially the UPick where your role was just priceless. The amount of arguing you sent us on over people's sexual orientation was great.
Faraday
- The fighting Irish! No question that you could drink me (and maybe anyone else I know) under the table any day of the week. You are also a really fun person to hang out with and were a huge help this week, especially when we found ourselves out of alcohol at Karaoke.
Mina
- You are such an incredibly nice and thoughtful person. Playing mafia in person with you was one of the highlights of the meet for me, especially when you were a hydra with CES who's playstyle contrasts yours so much lol. So glad to have met you this week. And
holy shit
girl can you sing. Thank you (and faraday) so much for stepping up to mod the invitational.
Maestro
- Noodles & Co. = vry good. You're stay at the meet was short-lived but i am so glad to have met you. I wish we had met sooner, since now I am not going to be living as close to you. But, I will definitely be back regularly to see Matt next year and hope to see you during one of those visits too.
Gamma
- The chariot rider of the commune. Thank you so much for coming to the meet. I never got a chance to catch up with you which sucks because now i don't know what your doing or where exactly you live and all that jazz but I guess we were too busy playing mafia for any of that. Hope to see you at the commune soon.
Glork
- Thank you for keeping the entire meet caffeinated. Thank you also for laying int the back of the pickup truck so i did not have a heart attack.
quadz
- always good to see the man that started my site presence (by modding my newbie). and nowww…you are part of my like, coming of age modding stage of my MS life too. So basically ur important to TheTrollie's life. Also your a really cool dude who makes a mean stuffed shell.
singer
- I am not actually a pokemon. You are great. Its always so nice to see you because you are bubbly and full of life and very committed to the site and the site community. I have the package. I am gonna write my schtick in it and will send it along to MOS.
Fate
- You were and always are awesome to be around. Too bad you didn't bring home the big bucks from that Magic tourney but we all still love you. You give off good vibes, keep doing that.
Nuwen
- you are awesome. i think that pretty much covers it. you are a team player and are an incredibly supportive and thoughtful person. You are also a beast in the kitchen. It was great to see you a second time, let's make it a more regular occurrence. That goes for everyone here, especially the commune.
Grimm
- What can I say that isn't obvious already? I was a bit upset that you didn't teach us to pole dance, but we only had so much time. Here's to bonding over metal cheeseburger looking things.
Reck
- I literally thought of moving to NC for a few months if i found a show there to work on. I think that pretty much says all i can about how unbelievably welcome you make people feel. I want you all to move to the north east. Please. we miss you.
ActionDan
- I had no idea you were even coming but boy am I glad you did. I am sure I will see more of you in New York in the coming year (more on a possible NY meet later). Thanks for coming and helping me not get everyone lost…well, you did your part--somehow I did end up taking the bus in the wrong direction but you could only do so much to keep me from making those stupid mistakes.
Axxle
- Your short visit was worth it for me, I hope it was for you. So awesome that you can pick up and hop on a plane to come chill with us for the day. Maybe do it again sometime? Always great to see you and do not hesitate to swing by my neck of the woods whenever you want.
Amrun
- Nice to meet someone who lives close-ish and is on the forum. And, thanks to you, we all had some authentic crab soup. Hope that 12 hour bus ride to your home which is 2 hours away from the meet was good lol.
Frequency
- Stay with us. You will enjoy it.
Matt
- I'm so glad to have gotten those 10 days off of work to be with you before you leave for Chicago. As soon as i know what I am doing this summer I will plan my trip to visit. too bad you lost ur 100% read rate on me. now u kinda suck at reading me, Fate will back me up on that. <3 u.
Trollie
- What a kick as way to end my stay in baltimore. Thanks to everyone who made it what it was.
