Actually, this line of reasoning almost had me abandon the set-up in the draft stage. In the end, I decided that if the vig was able to shoot both scum single-handedly, scum were obvious enough that they were probably going to lose anyway (and the odds of it happening through random shooting were low enough that I didn't feel it an issue). In post 861, penguin_alien wrote:It does seem unlikely that we have a two-man scum team with a two-shot vig, as that would allow the vig to single-handedly destroy the scum. I'd expect town as a group would need to be responsible for one scum kill any way it fell out to win.
Set-up was pretty much based on the premise that 11:2 is slightly scum-sided, so 11:2 with a weak town PR should make the game pretty much balanced. Having seen the result, I think I still agree re: balance, but it swang far harder than I'm happy with (lucky SAS shot pretty much won the game). Would run on similar philosophy again, but would want to consider swing more carefully than I did.
Uh, thank you to everyone who replaced in, you made this game actually runnable. Also, a thank you to Mr. Bump, for the sheer hilarity of his quote tags.
