Yeah that rule has started being amusing. Especially since I posted 2-3 more screenshots after Faraday correctly guessed it.

Only one movie guess can be made every 72 hours, so use your guess wisely.

I think this rule should be changed to one guess per picture just FYI

Can we change it to 48 hours so I can at least guess tomorrow since I know the answer.

Just a short break to open this up to discussion. The 72 hour rule pretty much restricts it to one guess per movie, but I guess I can change the wording to reflect that. Or I could shorten it to 36/48 hours to invite multiple guesses, but I think there's enough people playing that it wouldn't make much difference.

I was also toying with the idea of increasing points based on number of pictures posted. (Correct guess at 1 pic = 1 point, correct guess after 4 pics = 4 points, etc..) It might introduce an element of suspense and strategy, or... it might do nothing since I think people will probably guess as soon as they know it.

Also, I think after I hit 100 movies (currently at 78), I'll start removing the points given for movies over 100 ago. So after points for movie #100 is given, Hircine will lose his point and drop off the scorecard. Might be a way to keep the scoreboard fresh and competition stronger.

Anyways, discuss away for a little bit.Next round will start in the next 24-48 hours.

If you are gonna do a different point system based on screenshot timing it should be more points for the first screenshot since it's vague and progressively less points as the pictures get less vague.

I was just thinking more guesses would be more fun than lurking. Could be some entertainment value in bad guesses at early obscure screenshots that otherwise wouldn't happen because people are saving their guess. Or maybe even something like once you have to guess you need to wait 2, 3, etc number of pictures before guessing again so there is still a limit and a benefit to not just randomly guessing / penalty for guessing incorrectly, but its less random than a timed limit where you don't know how many pictures might get posted before you can guess again.

But either way this is fun. Where do you get all the screenshots from by the way?

I try to get a screen shot up roughly very 12 hours or so.. Sometimes it's erratic depending on schedule though.

Been thinking about taking on a helper to make it more regular.

But either way this is fun. Where do you get all the screenshots from by the way?
