You misunderstood my question. You said you thought there were 1-2 scum in that group of six and 1-2 lurkerscum. Seeing as we only have 3 scum and I fit neither category, that suggests you think I'm town.
No... I would actually put you down as a lurker. You've posted with reasonable frequency, but you never explained your FoSes or your vote on me. I feel that you're in a very similar category with CDB (who fits my list of 6 -- me and my five top suspects -- and in the "potential lurkerscum" category). I see you both as actively lurking. I am not getting the distinct CES-town vibe that I've gotten from you in the past, but I am not getting a glaringly scummy vibe either.

That said, I could definitely see CES+Thesp in cahoots together. I'm sensing some kind of interaction between them, and CES's double-FoS of Thesp today, while keeping his vote on me and refusing to explain why, does send up a flag.

MBL: That explanation more than satisfies me. Thanks.

Glrok wrote:CES, why are you so focused on Glork's opinion of you? Your recent posts indicate you think he's scum, so wouldn't his opinion be moot in that case?
It is called pressuring.

Don't worry, it's probably based on all kinds of misconceptions anyhow.

I asked you to explain the FoSes and you declined to do so. I then asked you why it wasn't a vote, so you voted for me. It is clearly implied that I wanted (and still want) to know why you claim to suspect me.

Those 2 FoSes are no longer relevant as they hinged on a certain interpretation of Thesp's posts which, as it turned out, contradicted Thesp's explanation of events. I declined to explain, because I felt it would be better for Thesp to get a chance to respond first.

As to your question back then:
Glrok wrote:No vote at the moment?
I interpreted it as a remark about me not voting at that time when I usually have a vote on someone. Upon reading this post, I realized I was indeed not voting, so I voted.

My current reason for voting for you? Your misrepresentation just now.

Yes, Glork said I found him and CDB scummy.
He didn't mention I mentioned Ether as a suspect.
So I would like to see Ether talk or replaced too.

Thanks for answering my post CDB.
Glork, why did you find those posts suspicious?

I apoligize greatly about my lack of time. In addition to my normal lack of time, a personal situation has developed. I really dont want to leave this game though. Please let me try my best to contribute my pbpa and something else of worth over this weekend. If I am unable to do so, I will admit that I am unable to give this game the time that it rightfully deserves and at that time will ask to be replaced.

No, when was the bandwagoning which formed the basis of your Post 461 vote?

MGM: It's mostly the second post. With a couple of players (Thesp, MBL, myself) having poked at CDB, it seemed like you were appealing to others for some kind of basis on which to bandwagon. I can't really explain why that set off my scumdar, but it was something in the timing and manner in which you posted:
[aside: Oh, people are noticing that CDB hasn't posted much.] "Hey, guys, that's scummy, right? Should we be lynching him?"

Upon a reread, I find myself agreeing with Glork and, even more, MBL. Thesp is setting off alarm-bells in my head, and so is Adele.

I don't agree with the Glorkwagon. I could be wrong, but Glork isn't setting off any alarm-bells with his play so far D2. In fact, I'd expect Town-Glork to up his game after a bad Day 1. I agree with MBL's observation that Thesp doesn't really seem to be trying to catch scum.

CDB seems townish, but I've never gotten a scum-read from him, ever. Then again, I can't remember him being scum, ever, either.

I seriously don't like the way Thesp's playing. I don't feel he's contributing to the game.

I'll reread the whole game for specifics later today and hope to build a stronger case against Thesp/Adele, who are my current suspicions.

I asked if it was scummy. As you can see I still haven't moved my vote from you, so thinking I was appealing for a bandwagon appears a bit premature. Sometimes asking for info doesn't mean the person asking the question has ulterior motives.

The fact that you haven't moved your vote doesn't matter. The point being made is that you were sort of testing the waters, seeing if there was any momentum in the direction of CDB. I think it's possible that CDB is just being used as the scum patsy here.

That's quite a strange sort of a defence. Obviously we don't know whether or not you were, but the wording and timing suggests it. This isn't a game of certainties.

A cursory re-read of Thesp's posts in isolation suggests that most of his posts were "AndrewS is scum. Let's lynch him."
