inside job is expensive, influence wise, and one can play around it "fairly easily". The first one is going to hit hard, yes, because people don't do it anymore, using inside jobs with other runners, but after the first one corps are going to adapt.Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.-

Right now I'm using two decks at the moment while learning the ropes / figuring out Octgn's interface, I made the runner deck but just copied the corp one.

is perhaps "the same old thing" a consideration? Those Deja Vu's seem to be there to retrieve events, and they are a bit costly, both in use and in influence. The same old thing costs one click more to use, 2 creds less. It might free up 4 influence to do fun stuff with? Like, test run, for example. Test run combo's a bit with femme, you get your femme for one turn.Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.-

I hope that the above worked... as I already said in scumchat, I don't play gabe myself, but saw many of them running the same old thing. Test run - femme is one of the older synergies.
The deck I do run with is this:
Spoiler: Kate
I don't know it's good, it is just cool to play. I didn't make it myself, faced this deck a little while ago and my opponent completely wrecked me. I decided to copy and see if I could do the same with it. There have been some minor changes since then, but my opponent was a better deck builder then I am, a lot of it simply works better then the alternatives. It's way cool to have stuff set up, late in the game, seeing that daunting 3 ice stack on R&D that's all unrezzed, and index it, leaving no ice behind you as every bit of it gets destroyed. So sometimes it wins in dominating fashion, and sometimes it just fizzles because the money or the cards aren't there to trash all ICE. And half the losses have been there because I simply misplayed :/Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.-

For NBN: Future Proof. Future Proof has Project Beale, which gives NBN 6 3/2 agendas. It's amazingly strong. You also get Midseason Replacements, which let's you use one of the only genuinely good "combos" in Netrunner - Midseason Replacements, Project Beale, Pyschographics. (To be clear, unlike Magic, even a "good" combo is still extremely finnicky, situational, and you need to be able to win conventially sometimes as well - but it's at least somewhat reliable and worth building for, which is more than most combo decks in Netrunner.) You also get the new agenda NBN: The World is Yours*, which is good for blitz decks. Blitz decks got really hurt by Creation and Control, but if your meta doesn't have C&C cards (specifically, Self-Modifying Code, Atman, and Clone Chip) they're great. And Flare, a big piece of Ice that's so expensive it's situational but good if you can get it rezzed.
Opening Moves has Jackson Howard, probably the best Corp card since Core set. He's amazingly strong in basically all corp decks, it turns out, but since he's NBN you don't even need influence. Howard alone makes Opening Moves a good data pack, but I don't think it'd help as much as having Project Beale.
For Shaper: The big box expansion Creation and Control is the obvious answer - it has tons of great Shaper cards, but let's assume that's off limits. You actually get lucky here: Future Proof has Indexing AND R&D Interface, both fantastic shaper cards. Cyber Exodus has Personal Workshop, which is very strong for letting you install things at paid speed; i.e, during a run. (C&C has multiple ways of doing this, but if I recall correctly this is the only way outside of C&C to get paid speed installs currently.) It also has Test Run, an okay card that unfortunately needs Scavenge (from C&C) to really shine. There's also Chaos Theory and Dinosaurus, neither of which are fabulously strong but both can merit inclusion into some decks.
Overall - Future Proof is the first one you get, no questions asked. It's exactly what you want. If you can strain your budget a bit, Creation and Control is a great second pick; if not, Cyber Exodus would also be good.

Spoiler:
Current runner list (I'm trying to force myself to play something other then criminal), the Scavenge is a place holder at the moment until I can determine what else I want to put into the deck. I'm also not sold on the professional contracts as this deck really wants to be running to generate resources rather then sitting back (datasucker/desperado/dirty laundry) so I can try to turn those into something else one I get a better feel for the deck.
Next step will likely involve me seeing if I can turn x1 Scavenge / x2 Professional Contracts / x1 Kati into something along the lines of x2 Quality Time / x1 Modded / x1 Easy Mark.Routine day with a dirt cheap brush

Ground out six or seven games with the list and I'm making a couple of changes because I really didn't want multiples of Professional Contracts or Kati Jones and I always felt that I had extra recursion with x3 clone / x1 salvage. The Femme turned out to be unneeded as most decks I'm playing against prefer running multiple weaker ice rather then few large pieces of ice and I don't have test run / special order to even pull it out of my deck when I could use it. I'm using the influence to toss another stimhack into my deck because drugs are good.
Out:
-1 Clone chip, -1 Professional Contracts, -1 Katie Jones, -1 Femme Fatale
In:
+3 Quality Time, +1 Stimhack

Just had a Katman player more or less ragequit against me, which was a lovely refreshing change of how things go, so I decided to tell you about the deck that did that.
Spoiler: jinteki rp
This is far from a finished deck, there are some things I'm not terribly happy with, but the concept is fun (to me). There are a ton of economic assets, which together with RP have the intention of keeping you richer then the runner, which is rare (and unnecessary) in Jinteki generally. The ice is all dirt cheap and mainly focussed on the early game with draco and sensei the only good options lategame. If the runner is smart (they aren't) and leaves all that economy up, it's there for ash. Ash is the key card of this deck more or less. Sooner or later, jinteki isn't going to stop any runner anymore. Their ice is hard to use, but very efficient if the runner opts to break. And then the runner gets to play with ash and red herrings. Because of RP and jintekis ice makeup, or at least that's the plan, they have less money then you do. And it's fun to see them run your barely defended remote only to find out they don't get to steal your agenda that they know is there, simply because they don't have the money.
It works... less well against runners that can keep up with your tempo. When it comes down to it you want the runner rushed at most points of the game, as making them run on your remotes is good for RP. Criminals do not mind so much and those matchups have been hard. Account syphon wrecks more then usual. The one cred denial wizzard (account syphon/vamp) was doable as he took too long to set up with actual breakers and he couldn't keep me poor enough not to rez some ice.
I'm not sold on the agenda make-up. I don't think I like midori here, chum was a fancy piece of paper a couple of times, so I'm not sure it should be staying. I don't know what to replace it with though. There's been times that I wished I found draco. IDK, if anyone has idea's, I'm open to them. But the core of the deck seems to be working against unsuspecting runnersSurrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.-

man if you're gonna run Herrings run Fetal AI too. AI + Herrings is the funniest goddamn thing."Don’t buy a dozen eggs if you just want a hardboiled egg. I've switched the ratios of Quality Time and Diesel because I found playing Diesel fit into most turns better then Quality Time (but both are cards I want in my deck). Professional Contacts is a card I kept finding that while I liked it in theory in excecution it was a pain to spend 5 creds on a single card and that I often wanted lots of cards or lots of creds rather then small amounts of both. Indexing is replacing Scavenge as my x1 of nifty card I want to play around with but I suspect it won't end up making the cut as I already have 3 slots dedicated to R&D interface. I've bumped Modded up to a x3 because it's is a card that I found doing an impressive amount of work as it did the work of Dirty Laundry (Generate 3 creds and preform an action).
Out:
-1 Quality Time, -1 Scavenge , -2 Professional Contracts
In:
+1 Diesel, +1 Modded, +1 Indexing
Spoiler: Kate.dec
Stimhack is less impressive as a x3 then I'd been expecting because although the first one is amazing the second is largely unplayable unless it wins me the game as it means my hand can no longer buffer a scorched earth. Next changes will probably be testing dropping Indexing and a Stimhack to improve my income somehow.Routine day with a dirt cheap brush
