Rules
1.
DAYS/VOTING:
Vote with the {vote} or {b} tags by posting
Vote: [playername]
. To change your vote, simply vote another player to erase your previous vote and/or
Unvote
. I will post vote counts as close to daily as possible unless it's unnecessary or real-life struggles arise for me. I reserve the right to count or not count any vote in any borderline case.
2.
LYNCH/TWILIGHT:
The
instant
the required majority of players vote for a player, the player is lynched and no further votes or unvotes will be counted. Anyone, even the lynched player, may continue to talk until I lock the thread (an informal "Twilight" period).
3.
NO LYNCH:
You may also
Vote: No Lynch
as with a player. If a majority does this, Night falls without anyone dying.
4.
DAY DEADLINE:
Day deadline is two weeks per Day. Subject to adjustment, but if it elapses before a majority agrees on a decision, the Day's result is a No Lynch.
5.
NIGHT:
Night deadline is 72 hours, late actions may not be counted. Please submit an explicit "No Action" if this is what you wish to do.
6.
PRODS:
I prod after 48 hours of inactivity. If you don't post within 48 hours after the prod, you may be replaced. I have no quantitative prod threshold, but I reserve the right to eject any habitually prodded player.
7.
CALL-A-MOD™
If you want me to see or do something, bold it for me to see:
Mod:
We need a votecount. Or...
Mod:
I'm on V/LA starting on [this date]. Or...
Mod:
I need to be replaced. Or...
Mod:
I voted for him, not her. Or...
Mod:
I love you. Consider PMing me instead for more private questions.
8.
ILLEGAL ACTIONS:
Do not do any of the following. Some of these violations may incur a modkill, autoloss, or force replacement.
-You may not post about this game in any other thread as long as it is in progress, nor any other ongoing game in this thread. You also may not carry out private discussions with other players about this game unless your role PM permits it.
-Be careful when quoting or alluding to private mod communications. If you gain an unfair advantage by doing so, a modkill may result.
-Do not say anything when you are out of the game: either by death
or after replacing out in any way
. A single, CONTENTLESS post reminiscing about how it sucks to be dead is fine.
-Basic civility is expected of all players. You are probably going to argue, but that does not give you the right to be jerks to each other on a personal level.
-I use a strange hue of
, and on occasion
. Traces of green and red are allowed be in your post, but if the entirety of one of your posts is green or red, I'm going to have issues with that.
-Make all words in your post easy-to-read. No encryption algorithms or invisible
ink
text.
-Play to win. Don't screw your faction up out of boredom or anger. Don't abuse the invocation of this rule either, apparent sabotage may be strategic.
9.
PLEASE, ENJOY YOURSELF!
This is a game of great intensity, but one must never forget it is a game of great fun, and (most often) a team game. Don't get overly personal or hold grudges, play to win, and enjoy yourself as much as possible, even if there's a pretty high chance you're going to metaphorically die. So, go team.
10.
ELASTIC CLAUSE:
These rules are mutable mid-game if conflict should arise, or if I or someone else notices something abnormal in hindsight. I also have the final say on any conflict's resolution which isn't explicit in the rules.
