Control of your destiny means that you don't need other teams to win in games you're not playing in. For instance, if you're 1-3 and there's a 4-0 and a 3-1, you're not in control of your own destiny. Even if you 4-0 the remaining 4 games, that's only good enough for a 5-3. So you need the other two teams to lose specific matches to still have a shot.
TSM still has control over their own destiny... but they need a 4-0.
Maybe you have the number of wins wrong for TSM, GI? If TSM goes 4-0, they'll be 6-2 at the end, not 5-3. Which is why they controlled their own destiny as of last night, when they were 2-1 and about to face SKT1.
Zor, they can't just ditch Regi because TSM is the team that has qualified for LCS, etc. They'd have to re-qualify for LCS, leave the TSM house, etc. It'd be a major uprooting in their lives.

Your reading comprehension here is amazing.
Please read what I wrote again.
That or your math is off... since if TSM go 4-0 they are guaranteed a spot.
What is the tie breaker for ties? Do they have a playoff? Because if TSM went 4-0 and STK1 won all but against TSM, then there'd be three teams at 6-2, assuming OMG win their other two matches.

It almost got me as well. Intended to stay up all night and watch the games again, but changed my mind halfway through. Lucky me.

idk, most have been in situations where their team was down and the nexus turrets were open. It's not as if they can fight for that upset then. It's hard to call it lame when they are saying "yes, you are a good team, you'll close out the game now while we are down".
Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.
Big night for TSM. If they at least beat SKT, they have a shot at a playoff at least, assuming OMG doesn't deliberately lose the last game of group stage to SKT.
TSM goes 3-1(only losing to OMG) and SKT goes 2-2 losing to OMG and TSM, that's a playoff. That math doesn't work if they beat OMG and lose to SKT though.
but can they beat skt? It's no secret where tsm's weak spot is, and that's where skt's focal point lies already, where they try to win the game from. It seems like a poor matchup before they've even picked champions.

It's looking pretty solidly like OMG/SKT/Fnatic/Gambit at this point. I don't think TSM can handle faker or lovelin, and the Europeans have been looking crazy strong.
Gambit has two heavy matches in front of them though. I'm not convinced after their earlier attempt against fnatic, that felt forced. I assume they'll be heavily prepared for vulcun though, that's going to be something to watch. It's usually cool to watch gambit in a game where it's make or break. Whether that's still in the bag for vulcun then depends on the game vs ozone, but idk, I'm more pumped to watch vulcun-gambit.
If gambit manages to beat fnatic, this is all just rambling, and I'd be pleasantly surprised.
Group A I agree with you. I'd be disappointed if SKT and OMG didn't make it.
Surrender, imagine and of course wear something nice.

It's hardly a stretch, Fnatic can beat both reliably?
I'm a hoot
