Playing
such games should happen in the Mish Mash forum, of course.

Huge props to Lucky. He didn't do so well some games, but his baron control (and the entire team's game 4) was perfect.

Making this thing last 2.5 weeks really killed the interest for me.

omg dominates group stage that includes skt > royal club beats OMG 2-0 and 3-1s an extremely strong-looking fnatic while SKT coasts through a relatively easy side of the bracket, inc. going 3-2 against najin black sword (a team that historically splits series with top korean teams) > SKT will probably win??

i feel like more people needed to dickride C9 and SKT these worlds

all outcomes are equally likely except SKT 3-0; historically when SKT wins they drop 1-2 games at the start and then win a number in a row - the unprovenness of the korean teams vs the chinese teams (remember that the all-stars china team was comprised entirely of players from IG and WE, neither of whom made worlds) makes finals impossible to predict from an outside standpoint

It'll be close, but you have to give the edge to Royal because impact and Poohmandu are the two weakest players in the finals

Except SKT beat OMG in their second game against eachother, and placed first in the group.

So I watched pro-lol for the first time in a long long time and was promptly reminded why I avoid it.

What terrible terrible games.

Esports lives on just fine why at the LoL world champship event I was at we got to discuss and watch such fine plays and comebacks as...
Spoiler:

Royal was a serious let-down to the point where the majority of the discussion at the gathering was about DotA 2 / Sc2. :?

What is it about this game that makes people make hilarious overreactions because of one small thing? You know. The guy who says "gg" when a particular "OP" champion is picked before a counter is even picked. Or who, you know, says "RIP esports" after finals?

Because of course other popular events never have blowouts or series sweeps (even multi-year ones).
