Shane is clearly scum. His entire ISO consists of irrelevant questions that look like scumhunting but are in reality fluff designed to look pro-town.

Why does this matter? This isn't something that gives Shane an indication of my alignment. It is filler to make it look as though he is doing something useful and "probing" for answers. This also looks like scum caught for the wrong reasons: "hey, why are you focussing on me when these other people look scummy too?"

I think we have three more days. I am unsure at the moment. Hohum didn't substantiate his FOS on me merely going off of Amrun's reasoning and he claimed he was right when he put faith in her reads. But how could he know whether he was right without a scumflip of someone she suspected? I doubt I can get a hohum lynch going though. I don't have a read on you yet. OGML is coming across as town hunting for scum. I can see how his reasoning is evolving over time. I also want the replacements to start posting so we can get a read on him.

What do you think of runnerman? You don't have a read on fitz but what about Jake? and Alex and Narrow?

While I'm questioning you, I'm curious, you seemed very certain Day 1 that Amrun was scum, why did you jump in and hammer JK then, a wagon that Amrun was on?

The only purpose of the bolded is to plant bullshit suspicion without actually stating it. Note how Shane doesn't accuse me of being scum. He merely plants the seeds in the minds of town so that others start to form their own suspicions.

Most of hohum posts so far have been back and forths against Jake and has not engaged much else in the game. I would almost think ambivalent town, except the vitirol leveled against Jake seems too invested for ambivalence, so I'm thinking scum.

OTOH, I didn't like Alex's case on D1. Or more to say, I didn't like the way he jumped, and that most of his arguments were based on things that happened early on, but yet he was only then bringing it up.

It's rather impossible to say without a scum flip.

I would say that there is at least one chosen among the targeted yesterday. However, that doesn't mean anything as everyone except me (narrow) is in that list. If we take out random votes, amrun and jake, because I believe jake is town from his reaction to hohum, then we have a list of runner, nacho/Alex, fitz/jake on the list of at least 1 is chosen, and hohum, ogml, f-16 and me on the 0 or 1 chosen list. Which is not all that useful either.

Because of f-16's vote on amrun. I'm trying to decide whether or not that was genuine. My initial thought was he's faking it. As a townie, the first thing you would do when day starts is to check who died, especially if it was you. However, I don't know the technical details of how games are normally run here, if the killed usually receives PMs then it would be more reasonable to charge in because you know you're still alive.

FURTHER EVIDENCE AGAINST SHANE

Shane needs to be lynched Today. I'm 90% certain he's scum here.

1. Shane calls me scum but doesn't cast a vote until after Nacho makes a post FOSsing me. There are two issues here. First, Shane's reasoning is inconsistent with his actions (not voting for your only scum-read). I usually call this scum-tell internal inconsistency (the idea that someone's way of thinking about the game does not line up with what they are actually doing), and it is a scum-tell because when scum contrive their analysis, they often forget or are unable to make their actions line up with what they are saying. The second issue with Shane's suspicion + non-vote + subsequent vote after Nacho posted is the idea that scum will contrive suspicion on someone, but they will only vote that player after another player suspects that player. The reason scum tend to do this is because scum look for town approval before committing to positions or votes, and that's exactly what Shane did here. He "contrived" some reasons to suspect me, and waited for Nacho to approve of his suspicion before placing his vote.

2. Shane is shamelessly limiting his suspicion to the people that are being FOSsed by influential players like Nacho: me and Redelphic. It is a classic case of survivalism, and an attempt to blend in with the crowd. The idea here is that Shane's prime motivation is survival, not the finding and lynching of scum. This is supported by the fact that Shane's list of suspects is basically composed of the players who are already on the chopping block. If Shane were town, he would not blindly FOS players that others are pushing for, but instead would carefully weigh all the evidence, try to understand where people are coming from, and only after carefully considering the evidence, would he FOS someone. Instead, what Shane is doing here is trying to survive.
