I've never disliked TSM for that reason, I've disliked TSM because they (read: mostly Regi) were assholes.
Minus Regi-as-player, that goes away somewhat. I still proably won't root for them in NA LCS, but I am more likely to root for them as NA reps in international competitions.

I guess. But literally every team buys and sells players. TSM engaging in that seems to be progress, not regression. Don't try and push esports as a professional venture and then cry about the loss of amateurism.

im kind of curious as to how you feel this makes esports less legitimate as a professional venture when one of if not the single greatest rivalries in american sports (red sox/yankees) is based
heavily
on the boston perception of the yankees trying to buy a better team (also known as the exact same argument here) going back to when harry frazee sold babe ruth to the yankees to finance a
fucking musical
the fact that fans can hold the opinion of "pah, they're just trying to buy a better team" and whatnot shows loyalties to teams/players, which is absolutely crucial in the establishment of esports as a "professional venture" as you put it
I think it's pretty easy to draw a distinction between a team that spends 80 million more than its nearest rivals (though down to just 10 million over the dodgers now!) and a team replacing someone because they're better. That happens in lots of sports, including junior high soccer.
"also known as the exact same argument" sounds nice, but is full of pointless bluster.
that said, I admit I sometimes find myself feeling this way:
I'm interested to see how EG will do, and I'm also curious as to how long XDG goes before dropping Zuna. >_< (As a note, I think that would likely make them a much better team, depending on who they pick up.)

RxLee is Vulcun's (yes, I'm still calling it that) sub at ADC. And Lee said he's probably take the spot if offered to him.
That said, I don't think Zuna is on as short a leash as everyone seems to want/think. People are really down on them in general, but if be surprised if they're looking at relegation after this split.
I think the bottom three will be Curse, CLG, and Coast in some order or another.

I'll be controversial.
The worst teams in NA right now, at this very moment, are Dignitas and EG.
There, said it. EG sucks balls. No matter how bad they are though, Dignitas is worse.
This split is gonna be the breaking point for Dig, because they are truly far worse than their record has ever suggested, and they aren't gonna be able to cut it.
