Okay guys,

My college is having a pokémons tournament this Saturday, and I know almost nothing about competitive 1v1 battles. I've got 4 days to create the best team ever. Gimme some suggestions.

My friend code is 4742 5992 1-four_3-6. If somebody wants to fight me, my specialty is triple battles. But if you have a strong single-battle team, I'd like to see it in action.

Edit: Also, my safari type is Fairy. Got Dedenne and Spritzee

Heatran is scary good at the moment, but it does have alot of pressure on it.

Btw, I used shuckle because I wanted Kyurem to be faster than most things so I can set up subs in people's faces. Additionally, Shuckle is 3HKO'd at absolute best by Kyurem-B lacking a choice item, and so I can set up sticky web and switch. If Kyu doesn't have sub, I get to toxic it and switch to a counter.

Why is Kyurem-B what you're worried about?

lose to every Genesect I see.

I really want to like the Pokebank meta, I really do - but Genesect should've been banned with Blaziken.

So I need something that can switch into Genesect, outspeed Scarved variants, and OHKO it. I can think of one thing, Talonflame. That's it.

Band Talon Brave Bird OHKOs Genesect I think. And I'm fairly sure that Life Orb Brave Bird OHKOs after rocks most of the time. And Heatran walks all over it.

I would agree with you on this part if I was getting any kind of success at all with Heatran vs. Genesect.

Thing is, I need

someone

to lay down rocks - I don't care who, just that someone does. Heatran is really my best option at the moment. Which means I have to replace someone else (which I really can't do aside from maybe Starmie, and I don't like that idea either) to give Talonflame a shot.

But then I have to replace one of its moves- Protect, Sub, and EQ is a must - I also want Stone Edge to avoid being walled by flying types.

Roar/LP/Rocks/Protect?

I've been using a core of Heatran/Forre/Umbreon (Who is better now that dark and ghost moves are everywhere)

Which gives me great switchins to almost everything and stuff stays healthy because Umbreon is awesome as hell now.

As an aside, Starmie is kinda not so great now. It liked weather because it either powered up HP Fire, or gave it some actual damage when it went defensive.

SR/Protect/Lava Plume/Ancient Power (once again, for shit like T-Flame and Volcarona).

Forget it, just phase them out. Build up rocks damage. Ancientpower so isn't worth it.

And this is where I disagree, stating that I prefer KO'ing things, and not letting T-flame switch in twice because it has odd numbered health.

If you want to outright ko things, then don't use Heatran. Simple. He is not the kind of Poke you use in offensive teams. Run Rotom-W or something if you want to go that route. And drop Gliscor unless you run Glispass.

They aren't suited to offensive team builds.
