They aren't suited to offensive team builds.
Thing is I kind of need both Heatran and Gliscor - I also already have Rotom-W, and don't run hyper offense.

It's a mix of personal favouritism and I need something that can at least potentially take on Mega Khan - plus Poison Heal is amazing.
Also, rotom-W can only check T-flame and Volcarona (more so Volcarona) if he's already out, from personal experience. I want something that can switch in and OHKO both no problem. And SR is a plus, because I don't want to remove SE from Gliscor.

I have yet to see a Greninja actually do anything significant. On paper he looks amazing but 9/10 matches I see with him he loses o_O Does everyone using him just suck or just bad luck?

He's pretty insane in my experience. lol base 122 speed STAB Dark Pulse.

Brandi stole my words - he literally needs to have Protean & LO to have the damage that a base 122 should have, and is extremely frail defensively. Essentially he takes one neutral hit (maybe two if you're lucky), and is forced to U-Turn out and not doing anything for the rest of the game. I already have one pokemon lacking in defenses in my team, I don't need another.

If he had better movepool then I would suggest Fire or Ground Move, U-turn, Ghost Move, Steel or Poison move. That lets you get out of status like always and gives you so many immunities you get to snap everyone's face in.
Btw, Balanced Hackmons, Protean is like uber good on stuff with good priority. Never get hit neutrally by anything, EVER.
what about like HP moves?^
Anyone know how to workaround how to get the hidden powers you want? I know it's still IV based but is there a way to have 5 perfect IV's and a random non used IV to get that HP?
You didnt misread, I just edited my post seconds before you responded!
Im literally the worst. I do this online and in real life. I say something and never ever get my thoughts out right the first time and have to go back and rephrase/edit
No idea tbh. Ask McGrrr, he managed to get HP Fire Froakies for WiFi trade so he might know. Also I would really use a HP on Greninja unless I really needed the immunity or something. And he has support mvoes which might be more useful than a base 60 move with no effect.
My opinion on the HP moves is that they're only good for things with 2x weaknesses now (Ferrothorn, Heatran, Magnezone, Gliscor, most dragon types, etc.) - everything else just doesn't take enough damage. Hell, I've had Ferrothorn
live
HP fire when at full HP from Greninja on occasion.

I have Ev'd my forretress to survive flamethrower from Genesect after rocks 50% of the time. And 100% of the time without rocks. Assault Vest is boss.
Btw Assault Vest Forre is badass. Rapid Spin / Volt Switch / Gyro Ball / Earthquake or HP Ice.
Also lets me take the buffed overcoat so I can play around sleep powders much better by being able to switch in to sleep powder, slow volt switch out to a counter and nothing gets slept.
Greninja still pretty meh from my experiences. Maybe I've just been lucky in what I'm using in my teams so far. I rarely have trouble finding a good switch in to him.

Ancientpower definitely seems like the sore thumb on this set. Is it even a reliable way of dealing with Volcarona if it manages two quiver dances before you attack it? Toxic seems like it would be just as good for stopping Volcarona while being more widely useful since you can actually punish the bulky waters/other walls that like switching into Heatran, while Ancientpower is only really helping when it's x4 effective. And you could potentially use roar over protect as well. Sure OHKOing things is nice, but your Heatran is going to be a weaker overall pokemon in exchange for maybe dealing better with one or two threats.

He's lead material or a distinct revenge killer. Lead with STAB Dark Pulse and oh god everything is terrible.
