Sure, but we weren't in a situation where anyone was a lock to be lynched.

That kind of self-preservation is justifiable. If Bw is town, he knows that he is town. He doesn't know what RM's alignment is. Therefore, if his only choice is between himself getting lynched and RM getting lynched, he should choose RM.
This intrigues me. I was kind of expecting RM to walk in, see that there's someone at L-1 and quickhammer for the lulz. From the beginning of the game until now he has changed his vote about 10 times, but he refrains from hammering Burke. Scumteam Burke-RM is very possible.
TvK is delusional or scum here.
First we had the legs race. Then we had the arms race. Now we're going to have the brain race. And, if we're lucky, the final stage will be the human race.
Can you explain why? I kind of expected the same thing as him.
First of all having both members of a team as the top wagons day 1 is implausible, as is the idea that we can guess scumteams this early. Also assuming RM is playing to any kind of win condition is a mistake. I may be kind of biased here though because I'm pretty sure Burke is town.
Unvote. Vote: RationalMadman.
I hope this lynch gets through. It's better thane Burke or Banakai.

So I don't have much to post. But I would like to point out that this above I very much dislike. I think reminding everyone there is an upcoming deadline while sticking your vote someplace that isn't going anywhere and not trying to push that wagon is trying to look town when actually not doing anything that benefits town.
I still don't think we learn anything from an rm lynch except his alignment. Which I don't think we well learn any other way, and I personally think you are rolling a dice hoping he comes up scum. Odds aren't good.
At this point I will accept BwB or RM, but I much prefer BwB. At least to me, RBD, it looks like we're not arguing about who is scum but rather who to lynch first. I believe we will get more information from a BwB lynch. Further I believe that RM is less likely to make well-reasoned night-kills.
If anyone is unconvinced that BwB is scum, allow me to school you.
He started the day with speculation about optimal play for scum PR's. He shows no inclination towards moving town out of RVS, even though he posts several RVS votes. His fatalistic tone when doing MYLO spec gave him a few townpoints IMO, but not enough to outweigh the early day suspicions I had.
Now at this point I was scumreading him, but not very hard. I wanted to push him to get more information and to get him to explain his actions. Instead, he disappeared. He never addressed any of my issues with him. His only post of game relevance was 245, and it took on a fatalistic tone that suggests he no longer expects to survive today. He is active lurking with long periods of inactivity and has added nothing to town discussion.
On the other hand, unlike RM, many people have expressed opinions about his play, which will let us develop associative tells from his play. RM is definitely a troll and I think he's probably scum (though my other head isn't in full agreement yet) but we gain no information from lynching him. Every single post about him is about how he's terrible, and most of them don't take a firm stance on alignment.
With all of this said, I'm going to declare intent to hammer RM should he be put to L-1. RBD, feel free to try and convince me why RM needs to die first, but I doubt we have enough time for your rhetoric to sway me.
I thought I was on Bw. I didn't know if the mod actually put the deadline in the vote counts or not now so I keep looking at the first page and wanted to ensure that we didn't no lynch due/do? to the fact that everyone didn't know when the deadline was or just forgot about it.
Also, all my scum reads are voting my other scum reads but none are on the person whom I think is their partner.
UNVOTE:
I am not going to place my vote because 1 I would hammer and the other someone has claimed intent to hammer and I don't know when that will happen so better safe than sorry.
So it comes down to where you think is most scummy. Either post intent to hammer on bwburke or post your vote on rm if you think they are not scum. You not doing anything is just forcing a nl.
If anyone is at all surprised that RM hammered, they need to read the game more closely. I'm actually surprised he didn't hammer earlier. Given that this is a setup where claims are useless, I am less than bothered that he did.
If anyone who was voting Burke is upset that he got hammered, I'd like to ask why you were voting him in the first place. Yes RM is likely scum and should be looked at tomorrow, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't discuss things as well. Information is the enemy of scum, after all.

Some players helpfully gave him that idea.
