Sorry about the inactivity. I've been waiting for enough content to come up to make a meaningful analysis, but as has been mentioned that's not going to work.

What do you think about this line, considering that he may or may not believe tacos's claim?

I'm not sure why that line is an issue. You say later yourself that lynching him is a bad idea. Why would I push for a lynch that was a bad idea? I might not be confident in his claim, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to rush headlong into lynching him without thinking about it.

I don't lime it, either, especially AFTER shotty brought up this matter. (And it seems to try mishmash away the shotty-part.)

sorry, I was trying to come up with my own reasoning without leaning on other people's posts. I'll mention when other people have similar opinions in the future if it makes you feel better.

I don't agree with the opinion that his original case on Taco was solid.
I don't agree with him taking issue with RachMarie telling people to unvote Taco after the Tracker claim. Her response seemed perfectly valid to me.
I also think that most of her content is relevant to the game, which DMS disagreed with. No, nothing she says is

directly

relevant, but everything is useful information that can be applied to the game at hand.

While I don't agree with those points, they don't seem like misdirection to me.



Since everyone else seems to be of the opinion that counter-claiming is a good idea, the lack of said counter-claim is leading me to be more confident in Taco's claim. I think I can comfortably mark him as town until something comes up that would disprove it. In light of that:

This seems like an odd decision to make. I understand where you're coming from, but I feel like you'd be better off using your vote to generate content and make a case, rather than just leaving it on someone who is practically guaranteed to not get lynched.

RachMarie asking for content while ignoring others asking for content from her seems weird. Maybe not scummy, but definitely not helpful to town.

Bitmap and Pie haven't done anything to allay my suspicions of them, but they haven't done anything at all, so that's not saying much.

I'll do a reread later tonight and see if anything jumps out at me.

I second Teddy's idea. My list (in order of scumminess):
Bitmap: for for joining a very bad wagon and giving townreads without actual reasons.
Pieisgoo: because of word choice.
TC: as said above. I don't want to treat him as a complete newbie because as he said, he's read into a few games and his overall postig style isn't really really newbish, so the sheeping-tell can be applied more or less, imo.

I'm suffering from a very definite case of seeing people who are actively trying as town and those who are not as scum. I realize that's not a particularly useful mindset, but I'll do my best to develop something useful out of it.

I'm fine with lynching Bitmap. I don't like that he's given so much support for building wagons to "generate content," yet he has made no attempts to analyze the content that they have generated. As Dessew said in #134, he also gave a couple of questionable townreads, and though he at least gave a reason when I asked, I feel the reason was pretty flimsy. I'll probably move my vote there in the next day or so if no better cases get made.

I still am eagerly awaiting anything from Rach, Bitmap, and Pie, but considering how activity has been (and Bitmap's V/LA) I suspect I'm going to be waiting for a lot longer than we have left in the day.

Oh, and I forgot to add, shotty: taco's approach that he doesn't want to vote somebody without wanting to lynch him is actually the good attitude, not in RVS, though. Nevertheless, it's a newbie, and newbies tend to underestimate the differences between lynches, votes and random votes. Think about players who threaten others with voting them, although they explicitely state that they have no intention to lynch.
