Hype is a dumb reason to hate a game, a good reason to hate yourself. You will ALWAYS be disappointed in a game you play up. Period. I had no hype for X, first FF game ever and I enjoyed the shit out of it.

There are many reasons why I didn't, but don't feel like going on a rant about it. Given my opinions though, it only makes sense that I would view the game as over hyped among other things. It's not a dumb reason to hate the game if there are other reasons that I don't like it, regardless of whether or not I've stated them.

Overhype is still such a stupid reason. A game is as good or bad as a game is, how much someone else pumps it up does not change the quality.

Okay, so if you really want to go down this dumb road, a road that advised you not take on my own will, then I can easily say I've beaten Tetris (i.e. played the game and fulfilled the qualifications needed to end the game->losing) more than a few times.

also we are on average giant nintendo fanboys. 3 of the top 4 (and 6 of the top 7) are first-party nintendo titles.

Cheaper systems, cheaper games, more backwards compatibility, real emulation, long-stranding franchises.

The games have more advantages in terms of # players than anything on Playstation, XBox and even PC.
