I was expecting there to be a claim already to explain why the no kill happened.

Why? We have a flipped firefighter - it's quite possible that either there's an arsonist or mafia that have some unusual method of killing or anything else along those lines. i.e. shenanigans could be afoot. And besides, it isn't always in a kill-stopping town role's interest to claim...

fire fighter is always coupled with arsonist, otherwise it's meaningless to include it in a game. I'm fairly certain the mafia's kill method is limited to ways of arson alone. That also explains the lack of a NK last night, due to the nature of arsonists.

I have reasons to suspect Klick is the arsonist, it's in his best interested to full claim, or claim role type.

What do you mean by role type? Like, investigative, protective, killing, etc.?

If so, my role doesn't have a clear one of those. I guess it'd go in the "other" category.

Meh. I'm a Compulsive Visitor. I have a night action that does... absolutely nothing. I visited yessiree last night.

I soft-claimed yesterday in order to avoid the lynch and possibly draw a NK. While I AM technically a PR, I'm not a very useful one, unless there are some roles that interact with just visiting (which there seem to be).

I find it difficult to believe that a negative utility role would softclaim to avoid a lynch. At the very least it's bad/overly risky play.

(particularly in an uncommon role game. I also find it difficult to believe that you'd put no thought into who you targeted given that your role pretty strongly implies that there's a watcher/tracker-style role)

I also do not think the intent to avoid a lynch and to "possibly" draw a night kill justifies the decision to not claim yesterday. For one, it could cause as much confusion among the town PRs as it could for the scum team. And second, it caused a real town PR to be lynched yesterday in your stead.

Overall, that is not the mentality a town should have, because it is just too scum-venient.

Disagree. Arsonist methods of killing are *EXTREMELY* strong. At least the arsonist roles i've seen. Even with a firefighter, they have the capability to suddenly kill 3 people, spontaneously winning the game from a situation that looked like it had a mislynch.
