On one hand, I kind of feel sorry that I specifically made sure Froakie had HP Steel to deal with Cleffa, but on the other hand there's no way he would have Ice Beamed first turn if he didn't accidentally start off with level 100 Pokemon, so he knew I was going to taunt.

{ROUND 04}

In the wake of their friend's departure, the party moves on in silent reverence. A few of the trainers are saddened, but as the group reaches the outskirts of Acedia City, most of the kids are eager to move on in their journeys.

"Well, I hate to say this, children," Professor Willow announces somberly, "But this is as far as I can accompany you in the journey. My old age prevents me from putting myself in too many strenuous circumstances, so I'm afraid I'll have to give you my remaining guidance from my lab via PC. But I trust that all of you have learned enough to be capable as a group with any supervision, so I wish you good luck." Professor Willow gives the trainers hugs over the sound of shocked goodbyes, before leaving their company as quickly as she had entered it.

As the party marches on from Acedia City, their surroundings slowly begin to turn darker are more dreary. After a few hours, the group is trudging through wet dirt and low-hanging branches.

"If I'm reading the map right, and my knowledge serves me correct, this must be Avaritia Swamp,"

"I wouldn't doubt it,"

mutters.

As the minutes pass, the air grows colder and the light grows dimmer. Nervous whispers begin to arise within the group, before arguments quickly surface.

"I don't understand what everyone is so scared of! This lighting and temperature is perfectly normal for this time of day,"

Lord Mhork

exclaims, growing increasingly angrier.

"Not in EST time, you dummy!"

yells back with rage.

However, the inevitable combat is cut short by a puff of smoke, before all of the trainers are whisked away by men that strike faster than lightning.

Each trainer wakes up in different, isolated sections of the swamp. All nineteen of the young lads scurry up in a panic, but their movement is restricted by small cages holding them hostage to several square feet. All of the cages have a note taped onto an inner wall, along with a jigsaw puzzle on a lock. The note reads the following:

"Glad to see some fresh meat starting off on their journeys! Clearly you're too inexperienced to hear of the godsend that is Team Mortem, for we rule these swamps, fwahahaha! We aim to take down all of you trainers that take all your luxuries for granted. But since you're clearly just starting out, we'll give some of you a break, THIS TIME. On the lock of the cage in front of you is a puzzle. Your task is simple: Solve the puzzle and your cage will open, letting you run free and escape the swamp as fast as you can. But for the two of you who take the longest to do so, you'll be lucky to get out with your lives!

You have

48 hours

to submit a screenshot of the completed puzzle. Ta-ta for now!

Also, we're feeling generous, so take a look at the Pokemon we have roaming in our swamp, and if you make it out fast, MAYBE we'll let you have one you want. You have

24 hours

to submit your lists of preference."

The top 2 players will become team captains in the next round, while the bottom 2 players will automatically enter elimination.

Maybe Yiley and PrivateI since I'm not familiar with either? kdowns sometimes drops games too so I'm looking at him.

This is what we agreed on. This is what KA and ani and I agreed on as well, because we weren't petty enough to jeopardize a game that we cared about because we have insecurity issues.

Nope, because of the rule change that allows for a longer deadline for battles, you're immune this round, just need to bet on someone like Tier did last round.

FYI, I didn't agree on anything. I just said that I wouldn't aggro on you.

If I'm ever captain, my policy will be to pick whoever on the opposite team the poorist performance. If that was going to be one of you two, I would have still gone with it.

It was a random thing that happened during a livestream, basically involving a guy rambling about how Diggersby is terrible in competitive play but it's just trying not to show off, and it can actually kick Arceus' ass. My favorite part is where he's talking about Rotom-W and saying how Diggersby just pretends to put its laundry in Rotom with its real arms but then beats it up with the arms on its ears.
