I seriously don't get it. Why did something this simplistic get so popular, and make so many people hate it so much? Like, if it wasn't a meme in the first place I doubt it would be getting this type of reaction.

This isn't even all too original of a game idea. I don't remember where, but I'm fairly sure I've played something just like it before.

I don't want to affect the challenge one way or another, so I'll say afterwards. I will say though that my computer is incredibly slow and yet I'm getting absolutely no lag for some reason, so if you are then try changing something about your setup and it might make it easier.

It got so popular because of social media.

because it's one of those things that it's like "spend 5 minutes" it spreads like the mother fucking plague over Social Media.

It's honestly one of the stupidest games ever, hence why i avoided it till now, where our shitty mod decided to torture our souls with it.

P-Edit: It's a terrible Article, same as the ones that said the developer commited suicide, real or not shit like that shouldn't be allowed to spread when it's quite obviously BS.

I wish they would actually show the hit box on this. The pipe obviously sticks out a little farther then what it shows based off how many times I apparently hit it.

I think it's more the bird's hit box then the pipes.

Sure but that really doesn't make a difference. There is a hit box that is being grossly overexagerated in this game.

It does make a slight difference, especially from a design stand point.

And it might not even be the hit boxes being the thing, even a small scrape of hit boxes is game over.

The helicopter game, definitely.

Flappy bird is just a major rip-off from super mario and the helicopter game.
