Tbh Cersei has been disappointing in s4.

She's focused all of her hilarious spite towards being one dimensional on a rampage to kill tyrion by hating him to death.

I was wondering how they were going to do [includes book spoilers for Book 3]
the stuff about Tysha and the scene with Shae
.

It turns out that the former wasn't done at all and the latter was just kind of awkward, though it still made me sad. :(

Good episode, though.

So why didn't Arya kill the hound?

Was she too attached to him or was he deserving of that fate?

Is this the kind of show that you can just jump into after skimming various episode synopses on the fan wiki? Because I think I just accidentally skimmed the fan wiki.

Holy shit. Very mad.

Idgaf if you know who shows up next year, they missed the mark

CotF was great

Stannis was great

Jon is still boring

And Tyrion was very rushed. And so much was cut.

Though Briound ruled

Wasn't Tyrion supposed to give a line about seeing if he actually shat gold?

I think that would be very hard to pull off with the right tone in this medium. I'm kinda glad it didn't go that way here, although I am frustrated about the lack of Tysha talk.

I haven't decided yet whether I'll watch season 5 when it happens next season. We're reaching a point where there are bound to be more 'future book' spoilers next year and, with some of my frustrations in their adaptational choices growing this season, I increasingly suspect that I'm going to want to double down and make sure I get everything from GRRM first. I don't think it's been a poor season at all and I've enjoyed a lot of it but it's been distracting more than before.

Deserving of that fate.

I thought the Tyrion scene was very rushed as well, though I was kind of happy he didn't
Cuss out Jaime and say all of the mean things about Cersei as a goodbye like he did in the books
, that scene made me sad.

Actually, to be honest, most of the scenes in this episode were very rushed, even the Brienne and Stannis scenes. Still a decent ending, I think?
I swear I'm trying my best

So were we supposed to understand WHY exactly Stannis shows up? That seems like a random place for him to be. Idk if it was explained or will be explained. Idk if this is possible to discuss without getting into book spoilers (if that is the case please don't)

It was alluded to at the end of Season 3, I believe. When Davos maybe showed him the letter from the wall?

My interpretation:

I love how cold Arya was towards the Hound. Not just in leaving him to die, but that clearly her friendliness to him was feigned to a great extent. Whereas the way the Hound spoke up for Arya, even after there was no chance of him getting paid for her, implied that he had genuine protective feelings towards her.
