Interesting that you're making this about KK-suspicions, as opposed to what it is about: MBL-suspicions. Here, let me underscore the point. VOTE: MBL

I want you to explain your dramatic swing stance w/r/t KK. He went from being "equally if not more likely scum" than LML/Bookitty all the way downgraded to you being "not sure" about KK. What justification do you have for this swing? So far:

(1) You said: Because KK voted LML.

I say: So what? When DGB was
talking about LML voters
(), you exempted KK from that group of players as not being suspicious (). The fact that KK voted LML is of stunning nonimportance when you were already talking about a group of LML voters.

(2) You said: Unspecified "more" that "should be apparent."

I say: It isn't apparent. Specify.

(3) You said: A bunch of posts that occurred after your swing.

I say: Unless if you are claiming to be psychic, anything that occurred after your switched position on KK () cannot justify your switched position on KK. Don't quote posts that are after 926, much less from the 1300s+ range.

Also, why are you drawing attention to your "defense" of Glork? Are you suggesting that we should draw the conclusion that you are town because you had the foresight to know that Glork would flip town? Because that's what it's coming across as, which is scummy.

For example, I had a pretty good idea that UT would flip green, and said as much in the previous days, but just because UT actually did flip town doesn't mean anyone should conclude that I'm more town because of UT's flip.

Eh, I need to reevaluate my reads this game. Didn't expect to be wrong about both pj and Glork. It makes me feel I have to be wrong about one of my strong town reads.

I agree, though CTD as scum kill seems the most likely. I found it a little odd that GC was so certain about who the scum kill was.

chamber, I agree that CTD and Shanba are kind of odd choices. It was one of the weaker reasons why I thought there could very well be scum in pj/Glork.

I have two main theories.

VitaminR

Case outlined here.

Mathcam and Bookitty

In post 1755, Patrick wrote:mathcam (3) -- Cogito Ergo Sum, Bookitty, Glork
A careful vote from Bookitty here. I interpret it as a soft bus.
In post 663, Shanba wrote:Bookitty's lynch me thing doesn't really sway me either way. I'm fairly certain I've said similar things as scum before. Also, VT claim. So what. It's a better lynch than PJ and a better lynch than LML. Seol's were really quite scummy.

((As a sidenote, mafia is a hard game and I don't think I would ever assign a >50% chance of being scum to anyone, like, ever. Beyond cop investigations or role information or whatnot.))

LML: Who was lurker hunting?

Is mathcam the mafiassk slot? Either way, his recent posting has seriously struck me the wrong way. He's my number 2.
Shanba might have gotten dangerously close to the truth in this one post. He singled Bookitty, mathcam, and LML. That may have been enough to set the scum off.
In post 745, CrashTextDummie wrote:I haven't been paying a lot of attention to BooKitty and I didn't find her predecessor's play as problematic as some others, but I could see myself sheeping Sotty here.
In post 529, Albert B. Rampage wrote:I don't like this shift from petroleumjelly.
I am not surprised.
In post 531, Patrick wrote:LoudmouthLee (3) -- Green Crayons, Yosarian2, petroleumjelly

MafiaSSK (2) -- CrashTextDummie, undo
Bookitty (6) -- Sotty7, Shanba, Cogito Ergo Sum, chamber, Untrod Tripod, Save the Dragons
Cogito Ergo Sum (1) -- MafiaSSK
petroleumjelly (4) -- Albert B. Rampage, VitaminR, LoudmouthLee, Bookitty
Porochaz (2) -- DrippingGoofball, Zorblag
Yosarian2 (1) -- Glork
That BooKitty wagon is pretty damn glorious.
Notnice MafiaSSK (mathcam) is avoiding the Bookitty wagon.

So what do we know:

Bookitty's end of day vote for mathcam.
MafiaSSK's avoidance of the Bookitty wagon and replace-out.
CTD's suspicions of Bookitty and mathcam.
Shanba suspecting Bookitty and mathcam.

Of these three I'd lynch mathcam first, because I'm town, I thought Glork would flip town, who benefitted from the 3-way wagon, from my perspective? mathcam. Some players pushed lynches on Glork and myself to save mathcam, important after being one man down on Day 1. Scum couldn't afford losing another member. I realize I have a unique vantage point here.

The only reason to lynch Spyrex is because everyone in the slot is replacing out and Spyrex hasn't begun contributing. It's not enough to go on.

I'd like everyone to offer a robust defense of VitaminR, Bookitty and Mathcam. If there is no one capable of doing this, I humbly suggest we lynch them promptly.

Well, I'm a little late to the party, but I think I can offer a decent defense on my own behalf. I don't know why you're asking other people to defend me, that just seems weird.

I was voting mathcam all day. I only left mathcam when it became clear that he wasn't going to be lynched and I tried to vote DGB to avoid Glork's lynch, who was one of only two confident townreads I had. Unfortunately, everyone had already moved to Glork.

So your "late vote on mathcam" isn't correct. My late vote was on DGB. On Day One, my late vote was on LML.

I find mathcam's 'I'm going to look at Yos2' thing really scummy, too. It's like every new day he abandons all his previous suspicions and goes looking somewhere else.

I'll support your wagon on mathcam. I don't really know about VitaminR. I know Glork thought KK pushed a crap case on him, but I have to look at it again to see if it's legitimately scummy or just wrong.

I want DGB to boot up the scumputer. I also don't understand MBL's point and hope he answers GC's questions more clearly than he's done so far.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."

In post 1549, Yosarian2 wrote:Mathcam comes in, decides to leave vote on CES at first. Then moves over to the BooKitty wagon. He then tries to argue that BooKitty's resignation post was probably scum motivated. He tries to imply that the BooKitty wagon would be especally informative somehow, but when I questioned him about this, he didn't seem to have a good answer for how.
This quote by Yosarian also supports my mathcam-Bookitty theory.

Yosarian, back me up on this, and tell me why VitaminR deliberately making posts that don't attract attention to him isn't scummy, why his defense of mathcam isn't scummy, and more importantly, why does his votes produce little more than a fizzing sound of a balloon losing air?

The sad thing is that our masons were both being run up yesterday because they didn't look pro-town nor provide much value. Although I had a town read on undo, PJ was playing badly in my view, and could have been scum. If PJ still wants to lay a claim on my head, I'll be disapointed. The masons need to get it together and force a scum lynch.

This is just a mini scumputer because I need to leave soon for errands and I have a show to attend tonight (the
big machine
will be ON tomorrow, with all the color codes YAY). I'm just curious and I can't wait.

I chose those two wagons because they represent forks in the road for scum. Now it's possible that
mathcam
is town and I will start with this assumption for now.
mathcam
&
Glork
are 6-6. Really 5-6 because mathcam admittedly voted Glork out of self-preservation.

Then
DGB
gathers steam. There is not much scum motivation to the
DGB
wagon since
Glork
is a perfectly good town alternative, I had already claimed vanilla, except that scum might feel like it was more easily justifiable to sheep pj who can't read me for diddly squat. If I were scum floating around, I would delay voting until there was a clear winner. Ironically and unfortunately, I had to vote
Glork
myself for self-preservation. I know I'm town, and I kept my vote on
mathcam
for as long as I could.

Now, who else was putzing around? There was
MBL
, who never voted in-wagon.
chamber
but I got where he was going with his vote, and
mathcam
out of clear self-preservation but that's null >>> EXCEPT that he switched to
DGB
at some point when the
Glork
wagon was still clearly ahead to sheep
PJ
, at his own peril, but that was the safest place to park his scummy derriere??? Not conclusive.

More conclusive is
STD
, who jumped off the
mathcam
wagon onto
DGB
. If
mathcam
flips scum, look for
STD
as his buddy.

From my perspective
mathcam
wagon is 50% town. If you're
CES, Bookitty
, or
STD
, and you're town, that means the
mathcam
wagon is 66% town for you and me combined.

MBL
looks definitely bad.
mathcam, chamber
,
STD
look less good.

One of these three is surely scum because I'm pretty sure that when
mathcam
voted
Glork
, there was already one scum on the wagon,
if not two
already, which might have prompted
mathcamscum
to jump on
DGB
early:
Kublai Khan, VitaminR, Porochaz

Just eyeballing as I was working on the above.

The early Day 1 wagons on mathcam is not very green at all. But all the mathcam wagons after that initial push (bus?) have a lot of green in them.

Look at this one in particular, with almost no green in Glork's wagon.

@ CES, Bookitty, and Sotty7
, if they are town and believe I am town, can have this point of view:
CES:
ONE of Bookitty and Sotty is certainly scum.
Bookitty:
ONE of CES and Sotty7 is certainly scum.
Sotty7:
ONE of CES and Bookitty is certainly scum.

One thing is becoming clearer... mathcam was quite possibly yesterday's scum wagon. It's not impossible that we had 3 town wagons, but just eyeballing the colors is convincing.

I will do the actual math tomorrow.

I love the scumputer.

@DGB: On the last premise, it doesn't matter if mathcam is scum or not, right? It's just the distribution on the wagon regardless of alignment, that's correct?
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
