Honestly, any group with a Korean team is 3 teams fighting for one spot. Panzer can quote me on that the next time he's not banned. SK and LMQ are the only teams in Group 3 worth fearing.
You can safely dismiss TPA, AHQ, and OMG unless OMG step up their game. They will not be advancing, barring amazing group shenanigans (aka two of those teams in 1 group with a weak group 3). SK is too weak to advance past groups unless they're in a sad group, LMQ is a wild card.
Outside of Koreans, C9 is the strongest team in Group 2. There, said it, controversial post of the day.
But yes, meteos his playstyle has a tendency to make him look good, while it might not technically be the best playstyle? idk.
He has one of the worst jungler kill participation by a pretty large margin. The only ones below him are Crumbz and Cyanide, both of which have the player with the highest KDA of their region on their team (not sure that last point means anything, but it`s an amusing fact)
But hey, he has the most gold for a jungler!
I'm a hoot

It's not that Meteos plays safe, it's that he plays a completely different style compared to jungles like Jankos who look to get very in your face from the onset.

I think NJWS could get upset if they drew a hard group, but even that would be pretty outside chance.
I think NJWS could get upset into second in their group. I find it much less likely they could be upset into 3rd TBH. Even with some sort of TSM/Fnatic draw it would be very tough.
Thing is, Meteos doesn't need to play like Jankos or IWD because Meteos' lanes win fairly easily by themselves most of the time. This allows him to farm until 6 and be less gold starved later.

IDK, I feel like Alliance could surprise a lot of teams and with Fnatic having Toyz as their coach now and their general experience on the world stage gives EU a strong showing at this worlds.
Still, it's not saying anything. Remember Ozone last year? They were overestimated and got crushed. But I'm glad we dont have those shitty region winners automatically seeded in the quarter finals. At least C9 has a legit chance now.
Is it worth noting that the group stages are being played in Taiwan and Singapore? It sounds like the SEA teams are thought to be pretty weak in Pool 2, but they do have the advantage of not having to travel. The Asian teams will have less jet lag too, being of similar time zones (Korea being 1 hour off, china the same time zone), whereas LA is 15 hours difference and Berlin 6 hours plus more significant travel time. I assume all will try to travel and play there for a while before, but that can't be an easy transition. Obviously Korean teams did okay coming over the US last time around, but at the margins it seems like it might make a difference, particularly in the opening games.
I'm really glad that there won't be byes this year. It'll be good to see all the teams play throughout.
Try being a fan from back when they were MVP. That was a weird transition, especially with no one understanding why you were confused. MVP White>MVP Ozone>Samsung Ozone>Samsung White
Group A: Samsung White and Edward gaming get out 1 and 2 respectively. No questions, this is 99.9%
Group B: I'll say Royal Club and TSM, but SK and TPA could both put up a fight.
Group C: Blue plus 1. This is going to be a murder fight for the last spot. I will tentatively say Fnatic, from veteran power, and OMG hasn't overwhelmed me, but this is ridiculously stacked. Any one of the three could take a spot.
Group D: A 3 way deathmatch to see which team doesn't go on. I say C9 drops.
Group A: SSW & Edward
Group B: SHRC & TPA
Group C: SSB & OMG
Group D: C9 & NJWS
^ The gospel. Although, Group C is fucking crazy, anything could happen there. SSB is pretty much a lock to get out but FNC/OMG/LMQ could be a shitshow (though on paper OMG should win, probably). I'm rooting for FNC though.
Alliance hype train is too much, they'll obviously beat Kabum but C9+NJWS will just steamroll them.
