I'm considering another round of
Chicago Bridge but want to change the scoring system from one based on rubber bridge (as was played in the linked game) to one based on duplicate bridge. If you are interested tell me which one you prefer. (If you do not know the difference, click
here to see the rubber-based system and
here to see the duplicate-based system.)

As of this post, I would like to officially declare my intent to resign from my current position of MishMashMod, effective once a replacement is selected by the people who have funny-colored names. First of all, I am fine, nothing is wrong other than the usual facts that life is pain and is sometimes very difficult but also occasionally it's pretty awesome. I'm going to attempt to scale back my commitment to the site with the intent of focusing my attention on real life for the first time in gods only know how long, and I don't feel it would be fair to leave the forum with a mostly-absent janitor. This is a decision that's been coming for a few months but I wanted to crack one year in the job
.
As for my current commitments:
Cerulean Villa is closed, my heart just isn't in it which probably comes as a surprise to exactly nobody. Sorry guys, I suck.
The Game Show Marathon is welcome to remove me as a panelist if they feel it is necessary but otherwise I'll finish that out as it's a minimal commitment.
Not leaving Scumleague because y'all need an easy opponent and it's technically offsite.
I've removed myself from any other commitments I have as far as I can recall/find in my bookmarks, so I shouldn't be hindering anybody else.
As of writing this, I do not know whether the moderation team will be seeking applicants for the job or simply reviewing the previous ones, so stay tuned for news on that I suppose. For now, if there's a moderation-type emergency, you can contact either myself or StrangerCoug, provided he's willing to listen, I didn't really ask him for permission to say that. If you'd like to get in touch with me with questions/comments/obscenities/concerns, I'll be checking PMs and Skype.
And of course, I'll leave how I came in, only with less shouting about the iron fist.
(now please keep discussion of this in this thread to a minimum that's not the point of this thread thanks loves)

I am not opposed to the same person running both games, but it is a lot of work. Nonetheless, they can be two very fun games to run if you like the original shows, especially if you get good contestants.
gamsimbre has taken over Deal. I still need someone to take over Wheel. Give me or StrangerCoug a shout if you're interested, because it's getting harder for me to find time to keep it going.

I for one love challenge-based games that aren't social games.

(Admittedly Villa was blatantly a social game)
Fickle, cold and harsh or caring and warm
Strongly opinionated or barely invested, but a constant
You know the wind will always come back.

It definitely won't be as social. I like the aspect of discussing with people to get an advantage...
sometimes.
But that isn't the point of a puzzle based game. (At least, the one I'm planning to run).
