I never said that such wasn't the case in the end. CLG turned into a totally different team like quadz just said.

I agree with everyone but C9 in this list, although I wouldn't say TSM are overhyped because nobody actually expects them to make it to the semis

Except for the shoutcasters. Seriously, they did nothing but hype up TSM every time they were on stage.

it's almost as if they have incentive to build a narrative where a NA team isn't going to go out in the group stages.

At least pick an NA team that wasn't losing to every top team all season, please.

I don't know why people never give NA and EU a chance. I know Korean teams are objectively the strongest, but it's pretty sad when Korean players are the only ones who show some respect to the Western teams and the western pop just hype up Korea.

TSM's regular season performance is basically irrelevant at this point.

Locodoco's coaching and the lustboy pickup have done a ton in a relatively short amount of time.

TSM also have the advantage of having individually top-tier players, unlike C9

Metros and balls.

Sneaky is not on the level of deft, deft eu, imp, etc, and lemon's strength is what he brings outside of straight up mechanical skill.

Even within only western players, c9's bot lane is pretty much high-mid or mid tier

...and Hai is about to become the first Westerner to make Challenger KR. (Was D1 99 LP with a 71% win rate last I knew, solidly ahead of any other NA/EU player.)

Games played? Number of champs played? Which champs are everyone playing?

Also, shot-calling helps your solo queue mmr a lot, probably even with the language barrier.

Dyrus almost always goes even, and he's been doing fine vs Ackerman (who is very clearly a world-caliber player)

Amazing is world calibre on lee and Elise

Interesting that C9 and Fnatic have played well over twice as many soloqueue games as TSM has on the korean region. not sure which way that cuts (more emphasis on scrimmages? more carefully watching to make sure players don't burn out?)

Makes sense for C9 to do. They can cut corners on watching tape because they're a crazy smart team (it's what lemon/sneaky/hai bring to the table to make up for lack of raw talent). Fnatic's just been there the longest, I think. They should be doing the more tactical stuff more given that they are all individually super talented.

Amazing is pretty good on Lee. Not so much on Elise that I've noticed.
