Leeroy at 5 actually really hurts Miracle, shadowstepping it twice requires coin.

nerf also isn't confirmed, just heavily rumored.

The thing is that nerfing buzzard indirectly nerfs uth. The problem with buzzard + uth is that to play around it you can really never have more than two minions at the end of your turn... and even that gives them a 2/1 and two charging 1/1s without losing any cards. That's really the main way that UTH is used offensively - you buzzards+uth, board wipe or something close to that, and then the board is at near parity and you have those 4 cards that you just drew.

5 mana 3/2 is a bit drastic for the sole reason of comparison to gadgetzan auctioneer, I think. But the buzzard is honestly probably a bigger problem than uth simply because it was the hunter's only card draw engine. So this nerfs both ways of using buzzard (with UTH, and with small minions/sacking savannah highmane).

I know that nerfing buzzard helps fix uth, but buzzard was fine at 2 mana, the problem was its interaction with UTH, and in that pairing UTH is the broken card, just get rid of or completely rework it.

Okay, should I just go ahead and DE him? Is there actually any chance of Pagle getting tweaked again given the fact they nerfed him into unplayable territory?

so I have 11 days to grind for legend

also I'm probably d/e-ing my Leeroy once the changes go through and will wait til the dust settles before re-crafting, if I decide I still want Leeroy I can just craft it again

if it ends up being mostly useless I might just craft Cairne or something and go play tempo Priest

man the leeroy nerf was unnecessary, and while hunters are really annoying, they made starving buzzard unplayable. i would have much rather seen a 3 mana 2/2 starving buzzard

yep, no downside to disenchanting and holding the dust

if you decide you really want another legend, go for it, or if you wait and leeroy is still viable (and it can be, although mana gets awkward w/r/t facehunter (hero/skill command) and shadowstep) you can recraft

5 mana Starving Buzzard is...excessive, to say the least.

Sprint, of all things, is now more mana efficient AND more consistent.

Based on what we know of how the best decks are the ones that have the best draw engines...RIP hunters.

an example of leeroy being awkward for facehunter

go against a handlock, beat him, he has some fancy golden naxx cards (this isn't that pertinent)

queue again, same guy, playing control warrior. full golden (gold coin). ohhhh boy.

get him to ~18, have a bow and will have ten mana next turn. he death's bite attacks my emperor cobra (webspinner) bringing him to 16. then drops Rag (after me praying for him to drop Rag and not armor/taunt)

with my ten mana and 5 damage on board (11hp 8 mana), I Leeroy (5hp 6mana) Webspinner Skill Command (0hp 0mana).

I can't do this with a 5mana leeroy :(

5 mana leeroy is just awkward because typically you're doing Hero Power + Animal Companion or Kill Command on T5 to get them in range for Leeroy+Hero Power on T6. It also fucks up the awesome Leeroy+UTH combo for finishers.

Yeah. Blizzard did say explicitly that leeroy and buzzard would be disenchantable for full cost (that is, 1600 dust for leeroy) once the balance change goes live, which they said is expected to happen September 22.

had him at 5 for the longest time with Hellfire in hand, he has a huge board after dumping his hand and I had a TwiDrake + 9/5 Molten Giant. traded his belcher for my drake, baited out Counterspell with Siphon Soul, hellfired, bringing him to 2 and me to 4 with a 9/2 giant. he topdecks frostbolt, bolts my giant, I topdeck Leeroy. something like a 1/6 chance to kill him that turn, had 12ish cards in deck and soulfire would have worked

holy shit this deck stresses me out

I don't have Rag or Cairne, but having faceless gives me more flexibility. I dont know if i need that many ancients, or if should swap 1 of them for something like a violet school teacher/power of the wild or FoN/Savage Roar.
