It's pretty standard for high Diamond and challenger Janna's to do. Don't knock something just because you haven't tried it or think it's uncommon.
You can't use one game that you've viewd as a sample size.

It isn't, but it seems you've made up your mind before hearing anything about it.
It wasn't done in a pro game for shits and giggles, it is actually pretty standard and very effective. When I first heard that people were doing this I was skeptical myself, but upon trying it my Janna games and laning have gotten infinitely better. It is actually amazing.
Maxing shield isn't bad, and you can still do fairly well with it, but maxing W in any situation where you want to be aggressive in lane is optimal. Relying on shielding your adc for him to get in a few auto's isn't.
It's usually better to shield yourself, auto, w the enemy, auto, walk away.
Eh, I think they should've backed off after the first nexus turret. Maybe they could've gotten both and escaped, but trying for those AND the nexus was not a good call.
EDIT: Though they took more damage than they should've, and Heart had an AMAZING 3-man bubble on the inhib turret, which really cut into their damage. I still honestly wouldn't have pushed that far, IMO.

Collapsed lungs would probably do that to you. Depending on how hectic Spring '15 gets, he might have to step down in between splits.

Yeah. Plus, he tilts way harder than anyone else. Lemon/Sneaky/Meteos seem able to bounce back from defeat without taking it too hard, but Hai (and Balls, to a lesser extent) both tilt.
