We're back to trying to outguess the set-up? Ugh. Sure, there's probably a mix of scum and town in there, but they could be coming in any order.

Okay, so this day has been plagued by inactivity, some of it caused by waiting for replacements, some not. What continues to really stand out for me is Tonys one liners and utter failure to even attempt to actually contribute anything to the game, even though he's been directly called on it more than once. Lurking may be rampant, but active lurking is scummy.

Define "overly" eager. A vanilla townie claim doesn't do much to sway me away from voting for someone who has behaved scummily. Can't speak for RafK, but I'm just trying to make sure that we don't forget why Pollux was wagonned in the first place.

Okay maybe overly-eager isn't the correct use of word. Shall we say continued disbelief of the claim. A vanilla townie or not, I'd guess there may be several in the game, I don't disbelieve his role-claim yes he was scummy but is that really a good enough reason to lynch him?

All this talk about safeclaims is interesting, but I seriously doubt that the setup is going to be as simple as "all the minor characters are scum". Even if Pollux is scum, it's probably not safe to assume that all of safeclaims will be minor characters based on that one result.

Having said that, the only option open to me is to vote for the person I find scummiest. Right now that's Pollux, but I'm going to do a proper re-read and see if anyone else looks good. Vote's staying where it is for now, though.

I think I missed the point above - is the thrust of the argument that the character that Pollux has claimed would most likely be a roleblocker, therefore his claim is most likely false because he says he's just a townie?

I am not relying on name-claims as a pro-town tell, otherwise my vote wouldn't still be on Pollux, would it?

...and let's not forget Pollux, who still has the most actual, y'know, votes...
