I like Aphix for town, which solidifies my read on Shinobi.-

In post 103, aphix wrote:Not sure where the "site rules" things come from either. I could see it if you were both in games together currently. But considering Klingon isn't currently in another game on site not sure what site rules you would be breaking. Seems a little odd to me.
I didn't say anything about Klingon, I was referring to why I disagree with a scum read based purely on hyperdefensiveness.
Which you then clarified more about your read and I liked your reasoning more.-

I haven't learned much about starting games, I've only been in one game from the start so far. A game gets going once someone throws down a serious vote IMO.
UNVOTE:
VOTE: Klingon
I think aphix was pushing to get the game off the ground and Klingon's response is poor enough to warrant more pressure. Her OMGUS looks quite bad to me, plenty of hyperbole in her responses, maybe newbscum.
Has hephaestus posted yet?
You could check pretty easily, looking to deflect some attention?
@Aphix,Shinobi I agree with you that the nacho entrance feels off. I don't necessarily see it coming from a scum perspective but we'll see.
I'd like this elaborated on.-

This is bad.
As Klingoncelt is new to the site, it's likely that she does notknowhow to check, which would explain the question.
Klingoncelt: click Activity Overview at the bottom. You can see who all has posted there, as well as isolate their posts by clicking the # under the posts column (in addition to the ISO link in the top left of each post).-

Klingoncelt
One thing I had to adjust to over here was the difference in how people develop reads here.
At USMB, reads tend to be developed on how posts are perceived by the reader. Here, reads are developed based on speculation of the writer's probable mindset from both a town and scum viewpoint.
ie: Why would town-house say "x"?
Why would scum-house say "x"?
Sometimes, people will simply say something for the sole purpose of judging the reactions of other players, and jumping at negativity just because it is negative doesn't show an objective townie mindset.-

If you prick us do we not bleed? If you tickle us do we not laugh?
They have suffered the slings and arrows of outrageous mod prods.-

In post 97, aphix wrote:Also, if you all think I was just overreacting to one thing, how about look that I was putting out feelers to multiple people. Jagged App hasn't posted since then. Rose posted a completely straightforward direct response, and I continued pursuing the one that was one, actively posting, and two, I have a bad feeling about their posting so far. Sue me. But you don't find shit in a pot without stirring, and I'm damn good at stirring a pot.
You are judging Klingon by MS standards, and although she has played MafiaScum before, it was on a site with a radically different site meta.
For all intents and purposes, she's is brand new to the game with a working knowledge on terminology and roles. She and I are both leaning how to actually play according to site meta.-

House, actually I've come to the conclusion already based on the few games I have, that I don't play by site meta ... I'm not really a big fan of how you are assuming here, instead of interacting. Nor how your trying merge a tone from helping Klingong(Which is either fine and SE being helpful, or it's leading someone.), and transitioning that tone into an attempt to persuade me.

I am not criticizing anyone's vote, just trying to clear the air on some of the weirdness that surrounds both our play styles.
I don't care if you lynch me right now, the numbers are in town's favor.-

I do find it hilarious that you would use SE as any kind of description of my posts, though.
The reason I am a little more patient with Klingon isn't because I am a generally nice person (I'm not, and she can verify that claim), but because I know how differently the game is played between the two sites and want to save her some of the frustration I endured.-

Not much town motivation there in my viewpoint. May only be antitown play, but a little early to start on the apathy. This needs to be lynch if its going to continue like this.-

So the two of you aren't clear on how a game should start.
My vote isn't an OMGUS. Aphix is playing very badly and he's got an obnoxious attitude. Not townslips.

You aren't very good at spotting deflection. Hint: That wasn't it.-

That's not apathy, is objective acceptance.
Note the words "right now". If this were later in the game and bear milo, I'd have a different opinion.-

I do the same thing, since Over Yonder most of us know each other very well outside of the game. I try to be objective.
These guys, on the other hand, reek of desperation and a lack of objectivity. They want therefore it is.
