It seems to me like a harebrained mafia scheme more than anything, but then again people with posting restrictions often have powerful roles, and it is something of a cop claim. Worst thing happens is he's lying, therefore scum, therefore we lynch him tomorrow. At this stage a town for a scum would be an okay trade in my opinion.

I agree with Thadmiral, but the problem is, if I turn out town, it doesn't mean Spambot's scum. And if we lynch Spambot for his lurker playstyle, and HE turns out town, it doesn't mean I'm scum.

However, I don't think Spambot is post restricted. If he is post restricted, it's either that he can only post so much per day, or that he cannot reveal anything of what he found directly. (investigative)

Thing is, Spambot did not investigate me.

I don't think a post-restriction that limits the number of posts he can make would make much sense for the theme.

He doesn't have a post restriction, or he wouldn't have been able to respond to me after saying he wouldn't post anymore.

He not only said that atticus was scum, but also that xyzzy is town. I'm thinking maybe he gets alerted by things when they post, like he chooses a phrase and if they say that he gets a pm telling him if they're guilty or not [/wild speculation].

So Spambot makes a strange vote... out of 4 reactions two contain a question mark, and afterwards Spambot claims he knows those two players are scum or town, and that is the only thing he tells during day 1.

Could this be a role-obligation? (I go for the question mark since the game is themed around backslashes (rather than cows, in my opinion)).

If so the request for replacement won't be followed. If not so, it should be followed. Therefor I fourth the request for replacement.

HE does not have a power role. At the very least, his role is not governing his actions. I am 100% sure of this. Spambot has not acted in a way that indicates role restrictions. If he does not get replaced within the next few days, I will ask for replacement myself. I refuse to play in a game where people quit posting for no apparent reason.

The way he went about it doesn't feel like a post restriction. The whole "I just won't post for the rest of the day" doesn't sit right with me. Also a post restriction in here wouldn't be "you get only three posts and not talk for the rest of the day" it just doesn't fit.

I won't ignore him, b/c if he's scum, I'm not going to let him just glide through. I also will not remove my request, he will not get a free pass to lurk from me. No talking does not help town it helps scum hide.

In fact, I believe we should be pilling votes on his ass right now, but I'll save that argument until after we've discussed how to deal with him.

If he was protown and had a restricted number of posts, he would've used them is such a way as to contain the most information possible in his posts, instead of just wasting them.

I will not ignore a lurker, because scum should not be given the chance to coast by. I will not lynch a lurker, because that is a horrible metagame. Therefore, if he refuses to participate, the only way is to have him replaced by someone who will. I will not tolerate any other course of action.

I think we should give him another day. If he actually can't post again today (minimal chance, I know) then at the very least he will be able to answer our questions tomorrow. I don't think we should ignore him for ever, but maybe for just one day.
If he still acts like this then I think we should replace him/lynch him/whatever.

This was very convincing, until I realised how Spam wouldn't have wasted his posts like he did if he was restricted.
