I haven't tried it on Ahri yet (probably the next game i actually get mid lane in) it was more out of curiousity if it's that big of a chunk of damage that it matters to the point that mobis are absolutely horrible.
I'm still trying to bring my midlane up to scratch, cause honestly it does suck a lot of ass.
P-Edit: yeah that is a good point.Returning win rate: 4/1, 80%

and really, if you want to brag about how innovative you are in building mobis on ahri/orianna don't do it in the form of a questionretired

Every point of magic resistance requires a unit to take 1% more of its maximum health in magic damage to be killed.
The difference is between having to do 1175ish to kill someone w/o sorcs vs 1000 damage to kill someone with sorcs
175 damage is probably an extra spell or 5ish autoattacks so yeah that's a lot for an ap mage who's going to have to burst peopleLast edited by Saki on Mon Oct 27, 2014 5:05 am, edited 4 times in total.retired

It was okay. Pre6 all you wanna do is farm. I put 3 points in w againdt gnar and started with cloth5. At my first teleback I bought glacial shroud and my mana was fine after that. It took me a while to catch up in farm because melee/vs ranged but once you get 8/9 you'll Control that lane and can kill gnar over and over-

I've really been enjoying my AD Jungle Fizz (which still does more magic than physical damage on my build), but I can't seem to get my laners out of laning phase ahead despite multiple ganks that results in kills. Also, it takes a huge ass time to scale, from what I find (my build is flare -> boots -> bork -> triforce -> tank).
Also, question about Fiora as Fizz - you can e to stop her ulting you if she is mid-ult, yes?"Animorpherv1's posts are so powerful that prolonged exposure may cause vertigo, nausea, acute tinnitus, and in rare cases, death." - vonflare

My ahri build order is generally Chalice/Seekers Armguard > DFG > Rabadons > Void Staff
With boots somewhere in there, and the Chalice/Seekers Armguard are for if i have to play overly defensive in lane and are for the most part to keep me alive (and i pick the one where the resistance helps) and if i have either i usually complete it as second item, and boots are generally thrown in where possible.
Very occasionally i will build a Rylai's/Liandry's if the team is super tanky fucks though.Returning win rate: 4/1, 80%

Don't go mobi if you don't itemize any other penetration earlier than that.I'm a hoot

Don't build gank boots on a mage. If you want to prioritize movement speed over other stats, you do it by subbing in MS quints (+1.5% ms each) or by altering your build order for boots1 and boots2 to build faster than normal. I'm not discounting mobility as a stat, in fact it's probably the single most important stat for the midgame as a traditional mage. There's certainly been lots of games where boots are simply more valuable to me than a blasting wand, usually in a roam heavy game. (Guess what- all your mid games should be roam heavy. It's more a question of are other people roaming too now and can you respond in time.) Mages benefit the most from levels (although of course they have AP scaling) so you can short your build on a few AP now to shore up urgent needs (mobility, defense) and still be fine if your level is game-current because of your base ability damage.
There are few real mpen options to begin with for most mages. If you are in a hard enough spot where you aren't building sorc shoes on a mage (for tabi or mercs to defend against an overpowering situation) then you are almost certainly carrying an altered build order to include guise and armguard for survivability too. If you're already behind and building for lane defense, you are pretty much guaranteeing that you play for the lategame instead of the midgame. Midgame is when the mages can carry, make absolutely sure this is a good idea.
There's almost no absolute truths in any aspect of league, but gank boots on a mage is not a good idea.-

I'm kinda lost as to why you'd rush Chalice on Ahri. I can see instances where you're getting crushed against a high-damage AP lane and countering with chalice/mercury treads, but otherwise I don't see why you'd delay getting a Zhonyas/DFG (depending on matchup and game composition). If you're ahead, then getting your core item faster will do you more good than a chalice will.-
