That may mean me, if elusive is who I think they are. As an evil 3P I got a town firmed mason gravedigger lynched by inventing an alternate universe....

Wow, I'm so convinced. You meant that so much. Wow. That was so emotional and deep and connected. That totally sounds like a town on the brink of lynch.

Ellie, even if you're 100% convinced of ABR being scum, what are your thoughts on vf's lazy, half-assed defending of himself? He's basically letting you fight for him. Don't you think his lack of conviction is a little strange? ABR is basically claiming to be exactly what vf says his slot is, and he's barely even putting up his dukes. Is that not odd?

Because I'm having such a hard time figuring out who is scum and who is town in this scenario and who is telling the truth and who is lying, I have to put myself in the situation as either alignment.

-I'm scum fakeclaiming cop at L-2, I get saved. The next day I claim I was killed but protected and was informed of this. Two others were killed. One person starts screaming for my lynch right away. Then later, claims cop and tries to lynch me. I would very likely make a case for myself but not show a lot of emotion and hide more while the others fight for me or against me and only show up if I feel it is necessary.

-If I'm town and cop and someone is fakeclaiming cop and I knew they were scum for it, I'd be throwing a fit. I would be doing everything in my power to get the scum lynched. I would not stop until he was dead.

-If I'm scum trying to lynch the cop, I would say I'm the cop, do what I need to do in a calm, calculated manner. I would present my evidence, I would try to get the other one lynched, I would be as logical as I could.

-If I were town and the cop and there was scum fakeclaiming cop, I'd be screaming over and over and over to lynch that person. I'd claim, I'd get worked up, I'd probably miss work LOL, I'd never stop until he was dead.

-That last scenario is exactly what ABR is doing. And according to others that know his meta, is his town play over his scum play.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.

It would hardly be the first time town was utterly incapable of making a basic effort to defend themselves.

When someone claims under suspicious circumstances, even if you don't believe them, you go along with it, because if they are scum, they won't die in the night. There's no use to introduce the WIFOM of "scum didn't kill claimed PR because half the town didn't believe his claim". You want a scenario where the entire town believes, at least on the surface, the claim, so that scum are forced to kill the PR, or if it's their buddy, it looks really suspicious when they are alive the next day, as no one was questioning their claim.

I do not respect your opinion because it isn't backed by a vote.

You can do one of two things:

-pretend you believe a claim
-try to get them lynched anyway

You can't throw suspicion on them while getting someone else lynched, because then if they survive it's due to the WIFOM that you yourself created.

You know, Math, I agree with you, but haven't we talked about this kind of speculation before? I don't see why we need to keep harping on it. You won't die tonight. You can bring it up tomorrow.

MathBlade, but I feel the difference between lets say Titus and ABR is that I've seen Titus get town results (lynching scums and such) using the powers of deductiveness and instinct so therefore she's proved that she is good at it. Whereas ABR is still in the proving grounds and it looks like it throws grenades into the stands.

In general, here some people just go "This post = town" or "Confirmed scum" and no explanations or reasoning as if words were pricey luxuries they cannot afford or that they don't actually believe in making cases beyond one liners.

Maybe the current generation think she's good because they have seen very few games, but she isn't. I've seen her play, she just tunnels and is wrong over half the time. I can pick scum out with deadly accuracy compared to Titus.

vikingfan, can you restate your role and any messages you got?

Also, are you a good cop or a bad cop? These are not alignment indicative? If you could choose which would you choose and why?

Do you think there could be two town cops in the game? Two town aligned cops?

Who do you think will get NKed tonight if not you? Why?

ABR, in my experience people trust Titus so that even when she's scum she can lead town by the nose. You haven't really gotten that Siren song going on, its more idk Brash. Wake is the closest to what I mean about Titus but he's been busy I guess. I'm not trying to say you aren't as wonderful as your Cult states or whatever but I don't know it in action and so the way you play makes it hard to trust what you say. Even right now I feel sorry for VF and its because of you.

Okay, I'll stop defending vikingfan. With a counterclaim on the table, it makes sense to lynch him or ABR today, and it doesn't really matter

Just vote vf then, we can figure it all out in the morning. Your vote would put vf at L-1.
