Mostly it's gut, and/or a couple of small things and the rest of the posts either fit with or don't contradict that read. e.g. Dragons - enthusiastic and seems to be enjoying himself. pieguy - getting reads from team, etc.

The last (and only) game I've played with Mala was Wicked, where she won as scum to my town. Reading through the scum-thread after the game, I felt it should have been a lot more obvious - the way her actual feelings as scum occasionally affected her play in the game. I kinda got the same sense from her opening posts here, that there was a bit of a facade maybe.

Sorry that's not very specific though, when I have time (tomorrow) I'll do a re-read and try and elaborate more.

Oh and SleepyKrew, CES says that Trojan is town so you don't need to worry about reading him

@sthr - Pie and I have never had a game where one of us weren't scum. We've been partners even before. I tunnel her hard. Everytime. She can catch me out as scum like a [insert ridiculous comparison here]. This is just a page 6 read for me, so not too much merit to it, but it is worth paying attention to.

do you have any scum reads? I'm also somewhat surprised you'd be willing to say I wouldn't town read you as scum without so much as asking why I was town reading you first.

Oh pie, is Mara an expert on reading you online too? I may ask her to explain why you're town later.

Also, I've just seen that CDB read this game overnight! He has Egg and SKrew as town, jason as scum, and says that is who he'd be voting right now.

It's not that he's being "useless" or anything. It just has a blend in and contribute for the sake of it vibe to me.

Not a solid town read yet, but she seems to be leaning in that direction. She thinks she can get a solid read on Jason, but it may take some time. She isn't bothered by Jason's multiple-vote opening post.

This is what confuses me, if I am coming off as Logical and considering all circumstances, shouldn't that show as town not scum? Scum don't need to apply logic or consider possibilities, they know who is scum. It is town that needs to be considerate of all options and be logical about them?

I understand it can be hard to get reads, I have that issue sometimes. But having nothing at all to go on after 7 pages of pretty much all discussion with little random seems a little weird.

jason meta has the chance of giving me a decent scumread on him, and I don't want to push two decent scumreads at once right now, which is why I'm holding off on getting my Trojan read.

I have provided my last 3 scum games on here in the early pages, I would be happy to provide a few town games if need be.

It's very easy to take an arguement like that and call it town vs town. Specifically, it stands out because he didn't comment on any specific words you guys posted or anything. He didn't tell us what you said that looks town to him. He just kind of looks at two guys arguing and says they are town. It's just too easy a stance to take without explaining.

I'm not overly bothered by it tbh. I would rather take time and look for scum, than respond over and over again. I think the reasons of the switching vote and OMGUS are overly stretched, but eh, I am going to continue looking for scum regardless of the wagon against me and how many are on it. I will continue to look for scum and point out what I think is scummy right up until thread locking in the event of my lynch
