Eh, the mage challenge was kinda dumb, IMHO. My opponent played Millhouse on Turn 3. I turned them into dudes for free. One was a summoning d
Portal. I dropped the other like 6 guys including a Gahz'rilla my own Millhouse.

No skill involved. AI just beats itself because durr.

I enjoyed it because it was stupid and cheesy, not for any skill aspect. Sometimes you just want to throw 30 Unstable Portals at RNGesus and see what sticks, you know?

I noticed the same thing, lol. I squinted at my screen every time too.

I beat the first boss with a funny warlock deck. Got Jaraxxus and Sylvanas as my first 2 minions and proceeded to destroy him.

I used Face hunter for the next 2 on normal and that was really easy.

On Heroic, my warlock deck took a couple attempts to beat it.
Used miracle druid for the 2nd one aand waited for the millhouse drop.
Used a different Warlock for the 3rd with ironbeaks and a demon control sort of setup.

I used Priest for the last 2 on Heroic but completely diff decks...one of the ones I ran IDR which one it was, but the only neutrals I had in the deck were 2x Grim Guzzler + 1x Emperor Thurissan

I was wondering about this, but I was watching a stream where it said that the 1-3 has to attack before any card is played.

You go directly to the adventures menu as though you were going to play it and the option to buy with gold is there, it's not in the shop.

Emperor Thaurissan is completely insane. I'm running a tempo-based Warlock. I've gotten Ysera out on Turn 7 a few times and its absolutely stupid to be able to do that.

I got a T1 Thaurissan earlier with innervate-innervate-coin-Thaurissan.

I think warlock is going to be the best class to abuse Thaurissan since warlock has the best built in card-draw potential and Thaurissan's value increases for each card in your hand every turn that he is in play.

A lot of people around rank 9 seem to have the same idea because I'm seeing a pretty big resurgence of handlock-esque decks, lots with voidcallers. Druids are also all over again with people basically running Ramp but with Tahurissan thrown in. A few pallies, combo warriors and face hunters around.

I'm actually running something similar to what I ran pre-GvG except with less fundertakers and more Thaurissan/Ysera wombos.

Main idea is to grab early board control with Chow/Spider/Egg and then try and get a safe Thaurissan turn as early ass possible. Transition into late game with all the huge drops in the deck. Seems to play really well against warrior, pretty good against druid, decent against paladin. Handlock and Face Hunter are a bit of a tossup and comes down to how appropriate my draws are.

I think Ysera is pretty much 100% playable again with Thaurissan in the mix.

Getting Ysera out on T8 is bigger than you may think, because she is such a snowball-y win condition on her own.

And a T7 Ysera is just GG 95% of the time.

Priest is going to be the counter for all this bullshit. The Druids have a hard time hitting through taunts + heals, plus stealing their bigger guys is awesome.

The boardswarm decks like Hunter/Zoo get wrecked by Circle+Auchenai, or Drake+Nova.

Plus, Priest is completely modular. There are easy "packages" of cards to swap in and out based on what you're seeing. Right now I'm running the Shadow Madness+Recombobulator+Shrinkmeister package. If fatties start showing up again, I can put Vol'Jin+Smite+Nova back in the deck. If aggro becomeos more annoying, I can shove in the Chow+Deathlord+MCT package.

Basically, I'm loving how flexible Priest is and how easy it is to make changes on the ladder based on the meta at that rank.

Also, yeah, Resurrect is GREAT.

You can pretty reliably use it to get a 2 mana 4/7 with Injured Blademaster since it doesn't have the drawback.

And against aggro, using it to resurrect a Pyromancer is a pretty great board clear, especially when in combo with PW:S or Nova.

Later in the game, it could resurrect anything from a big legendary like Thaurissan or Sylvanas... it could resurrect an enemy minion that you stole at some point. You're AT LEAST going to go equal in value unless you happen to grab a Cleric, usually you get huge value gain from it.

Succeeded on first try, basically just tossed my biggest minions into a deck with a couple cheap and useful things.

Also first try against Emperor Thaurissan, got two cultist Deathrattles onto a stealthed tiger, then Divine Spirit/Inner Fire for 44 damage in 2 turns.

Tried many lists, including fatigue druid, gang up mill rogue, polymorph mage, and healer priest, before finally finding the hilarious traffic jam, where you make your opponent have no room to play more minions.

This was the main downfall of my attempt at the Race for BRM. I finally cleared it with this deck to drop him by 35 health in one go with Alex, courtesy of reddit.

Tap early and often, spend your mana, brewmaster to deal with Living Bomb.

I got ignited twice in the game I won, once on turn one, and once on the turn I played Alex (at which point I had destroyed his armor the previous turn, I had 19 HP against his 50 and he had no board against my pair of 7/6s. I took him to 1 HP with that play, got ignited, he didn't play a taunt (and I even had one Owl in hand), GG.

I decided to go for a Bane of Doom deck - lots of ways to hold off, then burst at the end. It's actually a Demonlock that's pretty standard - and in this fight, killing Majordomo with Bane of Doom instantly kills Ragnaros as well.

Not the most interesting deck, but it worked pretty thoroughly. Flood the board, use positive deathrattles, win game.

i just used an "all really powerful minions without battlecries" deck for heroic grim guzzler and it worked without a hitch, even with the 2:1 minion advantage on his side.
