Hour 8 Lynch
All information in the following cut scene is for entertainment purposes only and should only be read as flavor(except for that part about Yosarian braiding PJ’s hair, that actually happened)
The group gathered in Yosarian’s office was surprisingly quiet after many hours of loud argument and rambunctious argument. Ibaesha somehow looked fresh and beautiful even though she was over forty hours into her shift, her navy blue skirt and suit looked freshly pressed, how she managed this while being on the job was a mystery. PJ looked perplexed, his eyes bloodshot after hours of brainstorming about every facet of possible counter terrorist activity. He paced the room and seemed to be in a constant state of stress in every part of his body, as if he were a man on the edge of exploding. Every eye was on the clock as it slowly ticked away to 0800… Finally Ibaesha couldn’t take PJ’s constant pacing anymore and she grabbed him.
“Hold still you, we’ve still got 16 hours to go and we can’t have you falling into a mental hospital before it happens” she said as she began to firmly massage his shoulder blades.
Suddenly halted from his constant pacing, PJ let his body relax and began feeling her skilled fingers begin to relieve some of the tension. As she moved up to his neck, she noticed that his hair was braided, her heart suddenly became filled with jealousy, like a dark green flame she turned on him.
“Who braided your hair PJ? I didn’t know you had time to go to a hair salon while we’ve been trying to find the nuclear weapon.”
“Oh, that was Yosarian, he did that during our brainstorming session while we were discussing the pros and cons of going bulemic and whether velvet drapes would do during autumn, right before we pigged out on fried strawberry cheesecake. Mmm. Fried strawberry cheesecake.”
Yosarian quickly swooped in to change the conversation before any more embarrassing details could get out.
“Ok people, time’s running out, we’re sure about FA now, the time for waiting is over, if anyone has any objections, speak now or forever hold your peace.”
When he got no response, he picked up the phone and spoke the words that everybody knew were coming but still dreaded.
“This is Director Yosarian, we’ve decided, escort FA into CIA custody, and fly him to Nassau on the fastest plane we have, give him to the usual people.”
Frozen Atlantic was still working at his console when they came for him, the sound of their shoes on the floor softer than the tapping of his fingers as they flew over the keyboard.
“Alvin thank you, you’re a genius”
He barked into his headset before grabbing his laptop and excitedly running straight into one of the suits.
“Alan Murphy, CIA, Mr. Atlantic, we’re afraid you have to come with us now.”
Rough hands grabbed him and quickly he was dragged out of the building while still desperately trying to shout over the heads of the suits.
Three armored Ford Explorers were parked outside, engines on and ready to move out, the head agent waiting outside told his team to stuff him into the last car.
They never got the chance.
He was still trying to tell them what he had uncovered when the .50 caliber bullet splattered his head all over the pavement.

Actually, I'm going to skip the pretense.
OTM claimed he was going to be at the MCI Center this Hour, to make sure it doesn't have a nuke. But he is not there. I think he is scum, so I'm gonna try to kill him. If I die or am otherwise diverted, I would suggest you guys use that information immediately.

OTM moved through the Smithsonian with a sense of urgency, swiftly moving through crowds of tourists, he knew that time was not on his side. Keeping his eye on the Geiger counter while weaving through crowds of tourists was no easy task, and he constantly had the creepy feeling that he was being followed. He took the next turn at a sprint and quickly flattened himself against the wall after rounding the corner, one hand tentatively reaching for his silenced glock while the other quickly flattened a Washington Post over his gun holster. He was in the space exhibit which was being renovated, and consequently deserted. His breathing slowed and beads of sweat began to roll slowly down his forehead. As the shadow began to slowly move forward through the doorframe, he drew his firearm and concealed it behind the newspaper. Seconds seemed to turn into hours as he prepared to fire. So keen was his concentration upon the approaching shadow that he did not notice the silenced glock rising behind his head and calmly depositing its deadly cargo into his frontal lobe.
As the footsteps of the assailant fled the scene, the janitor walked into the room and did not even notice dead man, as he was too enthralled in the soaring arias of Viennese Opera.

Words really cannot express my anger and disappointment at the moment, and I am really not much in the mood for talking.
My role can track people "outside" so long as I know where they are. I talked with Yos and decided that instead of bodyguarding and not getting any information, I would place a tracking device on Off the Mark, since I knew he would be at the MCI Center (or if he wasn't there, I would know he was lying about that). I immediately received a result that he went to the Smithsonian, even though he said in-thread that he would be spending another hour to investigate the MCI Center.
My role can also assassinate people - again, so long as I know that person's location. I obviously knew that he was at the Smithsonian due to my tracking device. After talking with Pooks, if I wanted to kill him, I had two options - wait outside with until he emerged, or to walk in with a silenced gun and try to kill him, which could have failed if he (paraphrasing) saw me approaching or the terrorists occupied the building and intercepted.
What clearlymusthave happened was OTM investigated the MCI Center during Hour 8, and queued up to Pooky in advance that he was going to move to the Smithsonian for Hour 9. And of course, I had nofreaking cluewe could queue up our actions like that, since naturally, there is no mention of this in the thread whatsoever.
So I've probably single-handedly screwed over the town in this game, and I honestly feel like a complete idiot and I feel like doing things I'm not sure have words. I apologize, and I will completely understand if you take this opportunity to kill me.
There is another Field Agent in the game, so he can assassinate me immediately by coming to the Smithsonian this Hour should you choose to do so. Until then I'll await further instructions."Logic? I call that flapdoodle."-

Ibby, of course I'm thinking. The town can't lynch again until Hour 11, and the scum can't kill again until Hour 12 (unless they use the assassination ability, clearly).
There are now 8 people alive.
Lynch Hour 11 => 7 Alive
Mafia Kill Hour 12 => 6 Alive
If there are 3 scum and we don't lynch scum in Hour 11, town will lose. And during that time, the town will only have had one more death they directed.
If the town assassinates me, you willstillhave the Hour 11 lynch before the scum can kill - and I will no longer be constantly alive for everybody to worry about, because I can totally understand what a freaking idiot / scum I must look like at the moment. In other words, with 8 alive, this assassinating me is akin to No-Lynching in a regular game and letting the scum zap the town down to 7 players. The difference is the town would be directing the kill that gets them down to 7 players, and not the scum."Logic? I call that flapdoodle."-

Okay, I guess I didn't get the whole what hours we lynch and mafia can kill. The mafia killed before we lynched so I thought that they'd be able to kill again before we got another lynch.
I'm not convinced you're scum over the mistake. I do find it suspicious, how could I not? However, I think that before anyone goes off and assassinates you we should discuss it. In fact, if Albert (the only other field agent) assassinates you without a discussion about it, I'd find that extremely scummy, especially if you were to come up town.
Anyways, essentially, we have a vig kill we can use. We -can't- lynch until hour 11 so, I'm thinking the best way to deal with your proposal is to just go on and vote to lynch someone, if everyone decides it's you, you can be vigged (assassinated, whatever).-

I suppose I can at least explain my frame of mind a little bit better, since I imagine I'll be asked as much.
Firstly. Since the scum hadjustkilled, I figured it would be better to do something productive for one hour, andthenbegin bodyguarding Spambot, seeing as he's the Cryptologist. I could only track/bug people who were outside - and this meant I had a choice between OTM and (I think) Kinetic, the other two Field Agents at the time. I pretty much chose OTM because he stated he was already at the MCI Center, as well as the fact that he would be remaining there. I saw the potential for catching scum almost immediately - if he wasnotat the MCI Center, I was know he was lying, and if he moved anywhere from the MCI Center, I would know he was lying [of course this second assumption turned out to be wrong].
The kicker was that when I listed (what I thought) to be the possible locations for the nuke, I did not list the Smithsonian - although in retrospect it is probably "#15 The National Museum of National History". Also, OTM did not correct me that the Smithsonian needed to be on the list. So when I received the information that he was going to the Smithsonian, presumably against what he claimed to be doing in-thread, aswellas the fact that he was apparently (I had thought) going somewhere I had not even put on mylistand he said nothing to contradict me, I was absolutely sure he was scum.
Also, a note before I forget: tracking devices and bugs work for theentiregame. If I had done something different this hour, like bodyguarding, I would still have gotten the tracking information on OTM for the next hour.
So then I obviously had a dilemma - do I wait outside for him to come out, or do I walk in myself and assassinate him? Since I had already told Yos2 much of my above plan about seeing if I could possibly catch OTM stepping out of line. Although I liked my discussions with Yos2 -- and in fact I PM'd him that I would be going to Smithsonian in case nobody was told locations, although my "Operation Smithsonian!" I figured would make it obvious -- I did have to worry about the fact that I know there are ways to immediately kill me since at the very least, Yos2 would know I was at the MCI Center during Hour 8, and could have sent a kill or whatever on me. Further, I was not told if OTM was alerted that he had been bugged.
There was also the possibility that if I claimed in-thread that I planned on killing OTM and was waiting for a response, that OTM could simply stay in the Smithsonian and not come out - thereby forcing me to follow him inside, but on the caveat that he wouldexpectme coming inside and I imagine he could have killed me first (although Pooky has not really clarified that). I didn't want to sit around with my information about somebody I was sure was scum, so I figured I would shoot first so that there was no way I could be thwarted (notable exceptions: if he 'saw me coming' or if the room was 'full of terrorists' I believe I could have failed, which is why I wanted special note of the fact that it was in the Smithsonian), and I could explain my reasoning later and the town would be in a much better position.
So ya, that pretty much explains it. I thought I was assassinating essentially confirmed scum. =/"Logic? I call that flapdoodle."-

>><< I was awake because I had some things to finish (see I'm addicted to WoW...), but just.... wow...
I didn't realize FAs could do that.
PJ, I think you jumped the gun (quite literally), but I really didn't (and still don't) feel like you're scummy. I think that you should have waited a tad bit, because I could have told you that OTM in my opinion seemed very town. And I'm pretty sure others would have echoed my sentiments.
But yea, this puts us in quite the pickle.
I'm really too tired to do some serious thinking, but this is just chaos now.
Vote: Guardian
No more talking out of this one. I've trusted my gut in this game and every time I'm convinced otherwise I get screwed. My gut was right on FA, it was right on OTM, and I'm sure its right on Guardian.Large Theme List Mod Emeritus

Oh Jesus, you guys got busy after I slept...
On the one hand, I still like my Guardian -> Albert connection. On the other hand, OTMs death puts in perspective that if he was town, Perhaps Albert is too. The main reason I believed one, if not both, were scum, was because as soon as Pooky said the prods were coming, them two came. But you might have noticed that it took a little longer for UA to come
Because I never got my prod
If I never got a prod, did they? Perhaps they came under the threat of a prod, rather than the prod itself
But OTM is Town. The prods came, and I'm just unlucky.
On that note, here's a list, because everybody likes lists
People who need to die
Guardian
Albert
People who are super special awesome
Kinetic
Yos2
Spambot, I guess. You need to be more active, cryptobitch, or I'll dump you in the street for Kinetic
Ibs could scum, but she used to be CTD
PJ could be town, but he used to be Eyceking. On the other hand, Yos said he's been providing a lot of ideas and stuff, and getting Pooky to spill the beans on role stuff
We have 15 hours left, we have no idea where the bomb is, and now we know that, for all we know, it could be in the bottom of the Potomac River, and we have no clue which group is responsible, but that may be because we've been doing it backwards. Rather than looking for the bomb, we need to find out who is doing all this, use the fun interrogating and killing of terrorists to make them tell us where the bomb is, then do whats necessary to disarm it.AlyG: If he's not a joke account then what is he? He starts bandwagons on himself and insults other people.-
