In post 671, Plotinus wrote:@Skold: why did you do the night kill instead of Argos?

I felt Argos was too much of too little. That he was obviously getting tracked because he didn't look like he was trying. Though he did advocate for your NK, so he was right there.
I'd put some philosophical bollocks here but I cannot be bothered.

Man, well played scum.

Not much more to say as I agree with everything Singer and Cephrir have said.

I apologize for voting Mofo at L-1 and not announcing it but it was a genuine mistake. I didn't realise he already had 3 votes. I couldn't believe scum killed me, I was wondering how I was gonna wiggle my way out of that mistake.

Good try town, maybe next time!

I would also like to say that Plotinus, Wanderer and Wyvernite did a great job of looking town early game.

You 3 were solid town reads that I would never have let go of.

I actually did see that post by Skold and I was so sure of Plotinus tracker that a CC by Argos would have confirmed a Skold/Argos team actually. Not even caring confirmed Argos for me and millar not willing to dig deeper but move on to voting made me believe he was the other scum. Looking back there are some comments from Argos that look soft-defending on Skold.

I need to work on brevity. I think there is a happy medium between tl;dr and skold and I'm not hitting it yet.

I'm really impressed in hindsight with how DCL played in particular because that was a hard spot to sub into.

I was kind of egging Argos on to counterclaim me because I thought I could survive it but maybe I couldn't have.

eeee I'm quoted in the dead thread!

argos seemed to prefer voting millar over skold
millar seems to prefer voting (me and) skold over argos
skold seemed to prefer voting millar over argos

that was my way of saying "it's skold/argos" in a way that I hoped the scumteam wouldn't understand.

@Plotinus...I don't think Lylo is the time for hidden messages, lol. Maybe if you had candidly stated, as you're so good at doing ;) , what you meant, it would've given millar and Wanderer a better picture of who was obviously scum. :P

BBT you hate meta so much but it makes it so much easier to communicate with people! Once I knew wanderer was town we could talk strategy privately-in-public without other people knowing what we were driving at.

preview-edit: you were right, millar.

preview-edit: @singer wanderer understood it. millar couldn't have but you're right. wanderer and me were both flip flopping between skold/argos and argos/wyvernite. we should have explained it to millar and sold him on argos.

We ran into trouble because we applied the "scum wants to win today instead of bussing if they can get away with it" logic iteratively.

I mean, when there are two scum in five players, you're town and someone is clear, it's not actually possible to not get one right, so.

The opposite. I'm suggesting on one end of the spectrum is me, the long winded person who can barely filter her thoughts at this stage, and on the other end of the spectrum is you with the short posts and the gut reads and the not explaining why you're townreading or scumreading anybody.

It's nice to win but I can't help but feel some vestigial guilt about the whole thing, hope I'll be able to shed those kind of reactions as time goes on. Felt I was okay early on but I had roughly zero idea of what to do in the lylo situation, as I'm sure you all can guess. Hope to play with you guys again sometime, besides a lot of stress the past couple of days I've had a lot of fun.

BTW Skold, sorry for not claiming like I said I would, was pretty sure no one would believe me after Plotinus dropped all his breadcrumbs.

Also, if there's one thing I want to take with me when I'm town it's just how exhausting being mafia is. I would have never thought I'd be a typical goon lurker but it was surprisingly hard to go through the thread and pretend that I was trying to pick through the evidence in good faith, or just how daunting responding to an accusation is in a high-pressure situation when you know they're exactly right.

Argos, you said some pretty towny things and I really didn't suspect you until Plotinus convinced me she was the last PR. Also, no hard feelings. I've played scum before, I secretly enjoy it very much but I know it's tough.

I once played a standard 9-player game (2 werewolves, 1 town doc, one town seer (rolecop) and 5 VT) and my scumpartner gave up pretty early. Which helped me look genuinely annoyed with him actually. I ended up in lylo with 2 townies and in a quotewar I was able to win the game. I was exhausted after that but it felt so damn good.

I'd like to play with townArgos someday. I really liked what I saw of your personality. I think with more practice you'll get more confident.
