It's impressive just how early your team got out. Two full games are done now and White Flag is in lylo and STILL you're the only team to be all out. That said, the large theme is taking FOREVER to play out.
haha i don't think it'll be THAT bad. But they sure are posting enough. My guess is that the game will accelerate pretty dramatically as the game goes on. In part because that's what large themes do when they get smaller, and in part because there will be more knowledge as to the matching so more kills and actions will work.

The Hitmen is all out.
Gestalt had the advantage of Nacho's colorblindness.

It took me way too long to get this.
brb more coffee.
Amid the pressure of great events, a general principle gives no help.
Nightless would have been won but for the mollie replace, which should be taken into account in future team mafias. If replacements/swaps are allowed, there can't be nightless games.
Lynching nacho was too valuable, sotty was toast and I was going to go down with him, so I just went the low-info route.
Nacho's list was great, but it had GI in it, who was the only other player I didn't want around.
tbqh, the number of replacements/swaps in these games makes me sad.

And I'm sad that Cabd was all "I'm going to replace out" in the game thread, and "I'm going to replace out" in your PT, and then never actually replaced out. =/
it makes me sad, too. I would have expected a different level of commitment for team mafia. I wonder if starting the games in the summer would have helped. seems like exams really impacted things.

I'd argue the opposite -- it's least beneficial to replace in late in VN (assuming you're talking about a strong player replacing a weak player in a town slot). Weak players are unlikely to be NK'ed so can last to the end easier, whereas strong players are likely to be shot -- but that's not a worry in Nightless.
The strength of replacement isn't about improving the player in the slot, it's about putting a player who wouldn't join the game as a certain alignment given the game's constituency.
Imagine if playerlists were announced before alignment tokens were used. Several alignments could be deduced purely from people not wanting to be scum in a game that contains someone they are afraid of.
Strength is an interesting point, since strong town players are likely to die in other games early on, allowing them to replace elsewhere, but that seems mostly alignment independent in its effect on the new game.
Oh, if you're saying that there are plenty of people who would replace into Vanilla Nightless knowing they'd get town, but would never ever sign up for VN because there's a chance they might draw scum, I agree entirely.
Doesn't really bother me, since our team never had any real chance of winning given the tiebreak system, just seems like something to consider next team mafia event.
If I could institute a rule that said "everyone has to be active the entire game. there is no other option" and have people follow it, I would. But since that's impossible, it's just part of the game.
