Regardless of specifics, I think it's pretty clear that game swapping compromises the integrity of the games. Replacements do as well, although less severely.
Point deductions for doing so seem pretty reasonable to me. If teams refuse to replace flakes for fear of a penalty, so be it.
How bout make just more games? Like, ecah player plays 2 games at once? This would make it more likely that one team only wins by points. Replacing teammates can just be not allowed - unless someone needs to completely replace out of TEAM MAFIA.
I like the idea of team mafia representing the games that are played throughout MS (One Large Theme, a Normal, an Open, a Micro and [whatever else is on fashionable trend at the time]; I like the Mini Theme because well, Mini Themes are a thing too). I'm satisfied with the representations...
idk if it should be factored that the inherent town-sidedness of TEAM MAFIA should imply that as a result, setups should lean a bit towards being scumsided (if not too much).
I really liked the split for Team Mafia I, with PYP, WF, Normal and Theme. Nightless is inherently townsided (and it seems like a lot of other teams threw tokens at it too), but it's worth including if run with BaM ruleset. I feel those 5 are pretty balanced.
I am still an advocate for restricting the number of teams participating for the sake of upholding quality. I think we saw one of the problems with trying to cater towards maximizing inclusion, which lead to the widespread replacement problem faced. Having 4/5 games, with the majority being 13P (5th game being 16P to make numbers work) seems optimal.
Randomized alignments is still nice, where you have all the role PMs sent out, then allot team members to the games.

Katsuki is by far more absurdly beautiful than Fate. (hai parama)
Katsuki's Madness coming to you shortly: Nov, 2011!
I was soooooooo sure Jason was scum when I died I just couldn't believe it. Especially after the "well, maybe he RB'd Jason" I was gobsmacked after that argument.
I think we did pretty well the first few days though so it's still possible we'll pull ahead. I have hope!
(But really we're gonna be second in all probability because Mara died too early for her to be considered noteworthy, people undervalue pie's importance, and people have every reason to vote me badly, sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...yeah.)

...Aaaaaaaand we're third without question. (See above bit about members of our team. I forgot notty, but people undervalue notty's contributions too thanks to how much he struggled with activity.) Because nobody's gonna vote us higher than the other two. (Darn. Was hoping for runner-up. )
Indeed. I think it's safe to say the best thing to come from Team Mafia is not one but TWO strong modded flavor games, with excellent flavor and roles and whatnot.

shos was my fault, but I did pin Tier and LLD and was quite literally screaming at notty trying to get him to push them as an active force in the game rather than a passive one. (It's quite frustrating to want to be in two games at once.)

This might be the best solution. I would also do the opposite of what was done this time around: teams that won in the past should certainly not get preference. If anything, prior winners should be part of the design/modding team.
I enjoyed Magua's flavor the most. I also had more issues with Reck's posting almost none with GreyICE's. But I've generally just assumed that's how Reck plays.
Thanks for the invitation to replace into Team Mafia. I enjoyed it even though the heavy and rushed analysis I was forced to do nearly burned me out.

I'm glad it actually had an in-game effect. <3
I was worried it had gone to waste the entire time. (In hindsight, though, notty mighta done better in my game and me in his. He'd have just as much lurking to do, but given as how I didn't really contribute anything to that win other than (1) relaying pie's thoughts and (2) pushing DV as scum the entire game, he certainly couldn't have done WORSE than I did.)

You're forgetting who was in there, AP.
I actually knew singer was shooting you. I was disappointed, though, because I knew that regardless of your alignment, because UT hammered you before you could speak and singer was obviously gonna shoot you, that I wouldn't be able to read ya.
I was so ready this game. I was 100% operating on pure vengeance and willpower.
Exceeding personal records for being voteproof.
I'm not even gonna go into the battle plan I had going on. You were on my mind and normally I am pretty terrified of you as scum, but this time would have been different
