Sansa was brave. She took the initiative and did good stuff. I think her character development was totally intact.

All of the Arya scenes this episode were so good omg. I forgot because they were mostly earlier.

Wall/Arya/Meereen/Cersei were all good.

Dorne and the Winterfell everything were not good.

I'm just disappointed more than angry. It felt like there were no payoffs to nearly anything. Just, a bunch of stuff happened, then more stuff happened.

I really enjoyed this episode actually
It became a game at one point
Who's gonna die in this scene?
When it got to dorne, and Sand kissed Mercella, I was all like "ITS POISON" but my sister and brother were like "don't be stupid"

Even this "payoff" to the dorne plot is stupid. Trystane was already being willingly sent off to be a hostage. Now he's probably going to be executed. Is ellaria just trying to start a war then and doesn't care if the heir of dorne is lost? That might make a sliver of sense if it were ARIANNA doing these things...

Hey remember when D&D said Sansa would be actively manipulating things in Winterfell this season

Literally nothing is different because of things that she did

Oh man, I was so heartbroken by last night... :(

I was so excited for Benjen to show up, and none of my show watcher friends seemed to care that he was in the previews, which made me even sadder. Then when I realized how little time was left, and that "For the Watch" had to happen, my heart sunk a little bit. I didn't think D&D would be so cruel as to basically give a giant middle finger to us book readers, but they did, and that's a little rude. :\

I think in hindsight, I actively disliked this season. The only storylines that didn't fall flat, IMO, were The Wall and Bravos. I did think Cersei's atonement was beautifully done and it probably won Lena Headey an Emmy (she really did great work this season). I can't stand how quick and rushed the Winterfell stuff was... and the whole season has built up to Brienne and Stannis, then it's over off-screen? Ugh, come on! Also, the final scene felt really rushed to me... then again, I also felt that last year's final scene with Tyrion's escape was really rushed and out of nowhere as well.

I feel like this whole season was a giant middle finger.

That was pants.

It just felt rushed, like "we need to go see what x is doing. Now we need to see what y is up to."

Poor season overall.

I LOVED the Arya scenes.

Glad Stannis is presumably alive? I mean, there's no reason not to show him dying if he's dead IMO.

I felt like the whole episode was rushing to get to each storyline and show a character dying. It felt very rushed and each death was poorly orchestrated, I actually just assumed someone would die each new scene and I would be right.

Also that Myrcella death felt cliche. Oh, she confesses that she loves Jaime as a father and that everything will be alright! Oh shit she's dead. So much for that.

Idk, this season has just been weak honestly.
I swear I'm trying my best

Myrcella, of all people?

I'm afraid you're going to have to explain that one to me.

So the post-episode interview thingy implies that
Sanda and Theon are not dead
. One of the guys said, of that scene, they're doing what they have to in order to "keep on keeping on."

Was that supposed to imply their death? I assumed they jumped into a snow drift against the castle or some such.

^Same. My roommates were confused as hell, but I think that might be because they haven't really been near snow for the mass majority of their lives.

I think that was a lot of the problem with this season, actually. It felt cliche in a way that Game of Thrones had stayed away from for so long. Everything that happened was a logical consequence of decisions the characters had made. This season, there was a lot of "this happened, and then this happened, and then this happened", and when things needed to line up for a plot point, they did.

One person I've really warmed up to is Qyburn. His relationship with Cersei is one of my favorites, because the a creepy ex-maester Dr. Frankenstein should have nothing in common with a nobleborn Queen Regent with a chip on her shoulder, but not only do they get along, he is loyal to her even after she loses all status and is a powerless woman in a prison cell. I thought the scene where he rushes to her side with the cloak was less "Gotta suck up to the boss" and more genuine concern for her physical and emotional pain.
