The thing about Mafia is that it's a game predicated on lying, which wholly removes the ethics of it from consideration for me.

As for myself, even as town I will gladly and often do lie in order to control the game state.

Any push I do is phrased under whichever way I think will have the highest chance of success. Snap changes in my judgements on people's alignments are always delayed so that people see it as more natural.

I'll even lynch people I think are town if I feel threatened by them, and that's not just a conscious thing; I can't help but scumreading people who do anything that seems to me like it be setting me up for a lynch.

So I find it incredibly ironic that when I'm completely, abjectly honest about my motivations for playing that way its a scumslip, and when I lie to control the game or seem towny I'm being towny.

Silverwolf, what is the point in your post about Drixx at the bottom of Page 125? I could understand if you were showing that Drixx/House isn't a likely scum team, but Drixx's team is dead and you weren't doing that anyway. It doesn't seem like that post really does anything.

Xtoxm, can you explain your FA town read? You seem to briefly explain most of your reads but there's just nothing on this one. And here are some issues I had with Taly:
-felt like he didn't want his name lumped in with Ozgin voters. Like he knew it would look bad to be on that wagon
-Awkwardness with his Varsoon read and just flat out being wrong on Varsoon's meta when using that to explain the town read. And actually, I don't think Taly responded when I posted a Varsoon case in response to him (Taly).
-Reaction to TSO being NK'd sounded like commenting on it for the sake of it. Said he was trying to make sense of it, but never made any conclusions until I prompted him
-his case against House
-the comment about feeling "vulnerable" in a large game with multiple teams. Felt survivalistic.

I need to read pages 129 and 130 still but sleep is more important. I have to be up in 5 hours...

Egg-It was a personal comment. I was re-reading House and that whole argument again and wanted to comment on it. I don't like those kind of tactics being used in games. It annoys me. I hope Drixx saw it and decides not to do that again in a game. That's about all there was to it although I think House's reaction to that was more town that scum.

I had a look through Drixx, and concluded his death was more likely down to the reds having some sort of investigate result on him from earlier in the game, and suspected him of town PR, than based on his reads. The only thing he had done recently is push for a lala lynch. And there are plenty of other people doing that anyway, who are far more townie than he was.

There wasn't a good way to sum up my opinion on FA. Or on Egg. They are linked, somewhat. The town lean on FA started with #3120 assertion of Egg being town, who at the time was giving me gut scum vibes. I've noticed that FA has been reluctant to add his vote to the major wagons, which I take as a slight towntell, because it's similar to my own town play. I had a look through NY180 in which FA was town, as I had some concerns that FA was semi-lurking, and concluded that both his post rate at post style is very similar in this game, as it was there. Now, this isn't a towntell, but it dismissed the notion that lurking could be a scumtell for him, which was the point of the exercise. In all, town lean.

With regards to Egg, I was getting gut scum vibes when I replaced in, but upon delving deeper into his ISO, I couldn't find anything substantial to back it up, so I ended up saying not sure. I had a look at one of Egg's scum games and found some minor differences. Largely neutral read now, but PoE has a tendency of moving neutral reads into scum territory.
