It was half being tired and half something my girlfriend said about our first game (she had a lot to say after it was done, but she said it pretty quickly so i missed most of it, but she said I should have taken your knights around move 8 or something when we were amassing all those pieces that were attacking each other, instead of keeping to amass pieces I should have started exchanging things earlier, she said.

The sacrificing my knight and i think a bishop for no reason at all was 100% being tired and unable to think. I really thought I had those backed up somehow or I just wasn’t seeing things.

Yeah, forgot about those pieces you gave up. That was obviously a mistake, but we all learn. Playing chess tired is never a good idea!

it is, yeah. i’m playing backgammon upside down against frogger (but i’m more experienced at it than he is so I think it’s more fair to let him be the one to play rightside up).

The trouble with playing while tired is that I cannot tell I’m being bad until I’ve already started making serious mistakes (and then I feel like it’s cheating to take a break).
