Balls was, even as of last year, one of the best/better western top laners.

Now he looks pretty terrible.

I can think of another top laner that really needs to get benched.

Frankly, in NA, every top laner that isn't Impact/Quas/Gamsu/Hauntzer/Zion needs to get benched.

I think Seraph is better than people give him credit for.

Ninja is my favorite NA midlaner.

I am legitimately afraid to believe in Cloud 9. I can only take so much heartbreak in one week, and soccer has already squeezed it into a thousand pieces.

(EDIT: That said, I was wearing my C9 shirt today, so good juju please?)

Man this CLG vs Liquid game is pretty fun.

I don't mind anyone winning.

If TSM can't get themselves to either return to a 2-threat team in mid and ADC, or get Santorin to help with being a damage threat while Dyrus remains their tanky steady rock and Lustboy keeps ballin' at Sup, I don't think I'll have a lot of faith in them.

Although, I wonder if their singular focus on Bjergsen is directly because of Turtle's slump this split.

(I mean, I haven't seen TSM vs. C9 just yet but just because there's a T8 vs. c9 tiebreaker I'm betting Dyrus is a strong tank but can't do anything, Santorin is average at best, Bjergsen dominates early but can't pull it through, Turtle doesn't help and mispositions, and Lustboy is their shining light but can't do shit from support.

turtle was actually pretty alright and mostly smart this game.

it was mostly just bad decision making that led to an early c9 gold lead even tho they were down objectives. tsm won a fight with a catch, but then around baron Lustboy tibbers'd three people and nobody followed up. like if bjerg ults that and e's that then game is easy peasy. idk just shitty everything.

cant get a lead early even when you REALLY FUCKIGN SHOULD HAVE A LEAD.

w/e.

I think it is possible that c9 will have the top spot in the gauntlet. Kind of unlikely but possible... Would probably hear some grumbling about that!

EDIT: Actually I don't think that's possible. I think they can tie in points with DIG if DIG gets 3rd, but the tie breaker is where you finish in the summer playoffs. So the best C9 can hope for is to be the second gauntlet seed and play two best of 5s rather than three if they're the third or fourth seed.

Making the assumption that each match has a 50/50 shot of being won by either side, here are the chances of each team ending up in each spot.

haha exactly. I've updated the charts to include "chance of making worlds" under the 50/50 per match assumption, but obviously the farther we take this the more we deviate from reality.

oops that world's chance for NA pulled from the wrong cells. it'll update correctly momentarily.

EDIT: Should be correct now.

EDIT2: Made one more correction that should make this all make more sense. Should be good now.
