Nah i mean if you can 100-0 Cho within 2 waves at level 6 that's fine, the problem is his passive is this:

Whenever Cho'Gath kills an enemy unit or structure, he recovers「 17 + (3 × Cho'Gath's level) 」health and「 3.25 + (0.25 × Cho'Gath's level) 」mana.

Meaning a wave is easily 100 health if your not a complete retard (CSing on Cho is simple)

Cho pushes Ezreal in, due to Ezreal's lack of non-ult waveclear, so Cho should outfarm Ez. I dont think anyone dies in this lane, though.

Malzahar disagrees. There are a few other mids that give Cho trouble, but Malz is probably his worst matchup.

It's not just that, but also his lack of wave clear pre-runeglave (which is when you're most vulnerable) that makes the matchup strongly in Cho's favor.

E upgrade is just begging to be ganked if their jungler is paying asny attention.
You should get Q first for laning poke/harrass and escape and E later on, I'd vote after 2nd item.

...that's fine and dandy except the conversation was specifically about AP Ez vs Cho'Gath mid, hence th confusion about building BOTRK.

I forget exactly what my friend did, but he went AP Nautilus top building a banner. Won him a fair number of games. I'll ask him later today what his exact runes/masteries/build.

Cho has no escapes, non-stellar base move speed and shoves the lane pretty hard, he's a pretty great target for junglers to pressure.
