Newbie 1625: American Spring - Day 5 (DL - 08/31)

UGHGHASGHG This game is over, It doesnt matter if I vote or not, Aku dies today or tomorrow. I die tonight... so it comes down to 'Do I want to be alive for the choice.' Joram, who will you vote tomorrow? or will you perhaps look at other people?

Ok so here is my decission, Let me start by saying:

Aku, Town or scum, you played a good game. We shouldnt have been lazy and left Joram Alive, we saw all he did was tunnel and he didnt swap unless pressured to by the majority, but in this case we cant force his vote in another way. I believe I will die tonight and that means you will die tomorrow. I dont think BBT gains anything from the false claim other then suspicion. so i understand your suspicion. Though Honestly the person with the largest gain is you, You and I would have lynched Joram in a heart beat. If you are town then this game is already lost and my vote makes no difference and it KILLS me to say it, because right now even if the day ends I will die and Joram/BBT will lynch you. If you are scum then you will kill BBT or Joram and hope that you can sway me towards BBT, so simply put, The only person who benifits from an end of the DP is you as scum. Its known that I am a townie, i havent hammered up until this point and we should have spent today as though I had died last night and it was you 3 but they already have shown they will lynch you regardless of my death.

Honestly this was a good game, you all played well, except joram, but they are new and will catch on.

Yeah, you were the obvious kill choice once you confirmed yourself as town. Gave me a reason as to why I would still be alive.

I was pretty nervous about town no lynching again as I would have no reason for being alive. I'm also super surprised nobody analyzed Aku's D2 play - it would have been really hard for me to claim Aku was scum had anyone looked into it.

I had it on you then changed at the last minute. The final decision ended up being a combination of overthinking and not considering the implications my last couple posts would have if I died. TBH I didnt think id be the kill even though I probably should have expected it.

I would have actually been relieved if Thespio was the last scum.

My lessons:

As a power role, consider what will happen if you die that night.
Lynch All Liars -> scum wants to keep bad players around.
Replace-outs are scum

Your last one has a slight statistical advantage overall from what I've read, but in my experience as a mod, the replace out rate for new players is high, period, regardless of alignment.
