the increduality is just too much over the top. beyond that, im having a hard time believing that he is a brand new player. combination of username and avatar lead me to this conclusion. i don't think that is too far of an assumption. so the whole "i don't know what's going on" shtick just doesn't ring genuine to me.

other than that i think the main issue i have is when he asks "what did scorp do that ut didn't do?" it just seems like a throwaway question with no real intent other than to possibly deflect/mislead/confuse.

Scorpious, this game is mainly played for fun but it's not to feel like you're getting attacked just because someone questioned your posts. The whole point of the game is to find scum, so do that, and don't take offense when other people suspect you.
Based on what's happened so far I find varsoon the most scummy. In post 27 below he tries to redirect attention to lambda. He doesn't actually try to make any case for his innocence but instead just redirects attention.

I still really don't get the RVS thing, actually. As I get to know people, I can imagine immediately voting someone who has a play style that I don't like to get them to fly straight. Towards that point: Is there anything about the way you play that made two people vote for you in particular, Lamby? (really, I will also post that question @Yimmy and @Untrod)

Frankly, I don't think I did too much here besides question the motives for the initial votes against you, reference Ghost Riders in the Sky (a country music classic, you communist), and adding onto the group of voices that wanted Vinkah to explain what they were talking about--using my patented not Varsoony charm.

You know what you did Lambda? You proceeded to brow beat Scorpious for his own RVS vote (which I too would like to understand but on the face of it, it is not so different from the text of my own post) when really you had no text explanation for when you voted me.

This post bugs me. Scum can give town reads flawlessly, scum can't give scum reads. Therefore I think it's more valuable to give scum reads, imo.

Bandwagons are a good way out of RVS from my experience

I fucking hate RVS. I can't help but see it as a tool for scum in a lot of ways. It lets scum get on a bandwagon first without making them generate actually content to analyze.

most of the time RVS is like that beautiful moment at the beginning of a race where everyone jumps off the blocks. you can catch scum hesitating, looking around to see if they can go because everyone else started and trying to catch headwind. catching scum in RVS is a tricky business, but if you know what to look for you can do it. sometimes they try to glom onto bandwagons (as you've alluded to) but that's harder to spot. most of the time you can nail someone for hedging their bets and acting self-consciously.

other times, they just sort of puke on their shoes and fall over. like you, for instance.

Please do. I understand that it's valuable to have town reads for PoE but I feel like scum reads accomplish more at the moment.
